What the…? God, if I were that vain about it, I’d just save the money and Photoshop.

I will admit, when I look at the ring pics on here, I notice ugly hands. Mostly those super wrinkly nuckles. But, I wouldn’t care if it was me. Really.

ehhh if it really bothers someone, they should do what they want. It’s their body, they have to live with it. It’s no different than having work done on any other body part. No judgement.

LaPetiote:  Meh. For selfies, for photos, because hey have to look at it… who cares. It’s kind of vain, but no more vain than anyone else who gets something done to make themselves feel better or look better. People feel self concious about things that other people don’t understand all the time. I think that’s normal. I think the bigger issue is the self obsession/overshare/take selfies all the time thing. I think generally people are getting pretty self obsessed and it’s probably making them care too much about things like a vein in the hand and what people will think whereas before the social media/photo surge people probably wouldn’t have noticed or cared as much about some “flaws”.

    LaPetiote:  THAT IS ABSURD!!!!

I was definitely “AGHH!!” about my knuckle hair, I’ll admit.  But I ran a razor over that shit and called it a day.  Surgery?  Not a chance lol.

To be honest I think this sort of surgery has been around for a long time (not for ring selfies but just for hiding ones age) and the media has put this spin on it to sensationalize it.

Your hands are usually the first thing to give away your age…veins, wrinkles, age spots…it shows up on your hands first because your hands are almost always the most neglected and the most exposed to the elements.

Oh, c’mon… Society has become so consumed by appearances. If people will volunteer to have their faces pulled tighter than saran wrap and wish to look like a cat and an alien had a baby, we should not be surprised. I have heard so many men state that the most important and sexiest part of a woman’s body is her freaking hands. I really just can’t sometimes…

I have way more important things to worry about then how my hands look.  But to each their own.

Are you fucking for real? People DO THIS?

It’s dumb. Then again, most plastic surgeries are dumb (talking the “I want a chin like Gwyneth Paltrow” kind, not the “I was in a car accident and want cheekbones again” kind.) But holy shit, if your engagement ring is the most important thing in your life, the attribtue you most want to show off … well, a fool and his money, right?

LaPetiote:  It looks like it’s just juvederm injections, so nothing worse than botox.  Which I also think is pretty icky because I’m not really on board with poisioning myself but to each his or her own.
