Just came back from my follow up appointment this morning. The doctor diagnosed me with Stage III endometriosis. The implants were found widespread through my pelvis, including my left ovary and bladder. She burned off all of the implants, but was unable to remove the ones on my bladder. I will need another surgery in another year and a half to two years to remove more implants. For now, she has put me back on a different birth control pill (Jolessa, generic for Seasonale) to stop my periods and try to stop the progression of endo, until Fiance and I are ready to TTC.

We were originally wanting to wait a year after our wedding to TTC, but looks like we may try for a honeymoon baby. 🙂

stephanie3973: How have you been feeling? I’m scheduled for a lap in less than two weeks and am going crazy waiting. I started having pains when I was 15 (28 now) and my obgyn found cysts on my ovaries and put me on the pill at 15. I was mostly fine and occasionally had painful periods. Had cramps on generic brands for some reason. Was late getting my pill in December and thought I could be pregnant. Had a rude awakening in January with cramps and my period. Had pain again the following week. And again the week after that. Got off the pill January 21 and have been TTC. Had horribly painful cramps each period since. One resulted in me passing out from the pain. Two of them caused me to vomit periodically. This last one had me having the absolute worst bowel pain. Each and everyone has given me bad abdominal pain and I currently have it now. The only thing is that I don’t have heavy bleeding. The opposite, actually and no painful intercourse. Sorry to have written so much! I’m hoping you’re feeling better and had a successful laparoscopy.
