We went to Italy in October and got preggo in December. :-D We only had a local minimoon for our wedding, so this was our big pre-baby trip.
Aww that is so fun! We aren't planning a baby moon. However, we do have a friend that is planning it. I think it is a great idea and I would love to do one. However, I don't think we would have time to do anything before we start TTC in July.
We called it our Conception-moon. We went to Venice and Florence, Italy. My fertility window was right during our trip and our daughter has an Italian middle name because of it!
We later went on what we called a Baby-moon, which was while I was 6 months pregnant! :)

Yep, it'll be my birthday and babymoon in one.LOL I'll be 5 months then, so it won't be horribly hot like the summer, so I can enjoy. We're going to a lake house to fish and enjoy nature.
You're killing me, albertagirl!! we are also going to italy in june!! how many more things can we have in common, its getting weird!!!
anyway we also will probably be tempted to start trying when we are in italy. we are only waiting for our trip to be over and then we'll probably start trying, although we'd love to get pregnant in august.
hmmmm... seems like Italy may be the place to go, perhaps there is something in the water over there...ha ha
@monalisa670: haha totally bizarre! If you're going to Italy too, perhaps we will both come back preggers! lol. And perhaps our kids will have the same due date! haha weird! Where are you going in Italy?
@albertagrl: Haha, I know, so so weird. My DH was laughing when I said the Greek Psychologist with Blueberry walls is also going to Italy in June! LOL. We are doing Venice, then Florence, then Rome, from June 6-14! What about you? We can't WAIT! We normally do Greece when we travel, DH actually hasn't been anywhere else in Europe, so we're really excited! Excellent Babymoon gift from your hubby!
We travelled a lot during the year between our wedding and TTC. We thought the last travel was going to be our last one as a couple, but now that we're expecting, we're planning our real last trip as a couple in June.
Your husband is the best for surprising you with that! :)
We're doing our big Europe trip in June too! I've never really referred to it as a babymoon, but definitely one of the things that we wanted to do before we start trying for a baby in the fall (we think). It's not really a kid friendly vacation with lots of museums and things they'd probably find boring.
I called it our 'pre-responsibility' trip. We went to Thailand for 3 weeks and had soooo much fun!
@monalisa670: lol. We are doing the same stops, only the other way around. We are going to spend a week in Rome, then heading to Florence, Venice and Milan. I had to go to Milan for the shopping! We are also very excited.We've both travelled Europe, however, for some reason, never made it to Italy!
We went to Italy! We actually planned our trip, after we went off the pill, and then I found out I was pregnant. So, I ended up being about 8 weeks along when we went. So, no wine for me.

Just wanted to share, that my DH and ttc this Aug/early fall. I absolutely cannot wait. This evening, my DH surprised me with a trip to Italy this June!!!! The only reason why he told me from now was that I can book off work, but I'm SO excited. He called it a "baby moon" before we ttc. Perhaps we will ttc on the trip???
