My Mom is organizing my shower with the help of my 2 MOH's - I know nothing about it and it's a total surprise.  I'd never heard of a hostess gift until I found WB & I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.

Is it expected to give a hostess gift?

When are you supposed to present the gift? If the shower is a surprise, I obviously won't be able to bring it with me. Do I just leave it in the car just in case? (haha! - that sounded like a good idea in my head but it looks stupid now that I typed it.)

I'm pretty sure my Mom's footing the majority of the bill but I know both MOH's are helping out and I know that FMIL is contributing too. FSIL might be pitching in as well as the rest of my BM's but I don't know since I'm out of the loop on the planning. Do I get ALL of them presents (separate from the BM & parent gifts given at the rehearsal dinner)?  How does this work?

Sorry for all the Q's but I have no idea what the right thing to do here is & you ladies always have the answers.

    Thanks!! :)

Since it's going to be a surprise, I think it's fine not to bring a hostess gift. You may want to get whoever was involved in planning a little something after the shower to show your appreciation.

good question!  i was wondering the same.  all the showers i've ever attended have been surprises so the hostess gift was unheard of to me.

    *bump*

Any ideas ladies would really be appreciated. It's something I'm worried about & I can't really ask any of my good friends cuz um... the one's I would ask are all IN my bridal party. :(

@ lulucarmen - thanks for the info. Right now I don't know who's involved in planning so that's just one of my questions.
