I wouldn't tell them at all. They are probably really excited that they are holding this surprise shower and from the looks of it, you don't know when the date of the shower really is so it really will be a secret.
I say help them keep it a secret :)
Don't ruin their fun!!!! All you technically know is that they're throwing one. And c'mon, you kinda figured as mcuh, right? =]

My FI is traveling at the moment so I've been taking care of all our admin for the past several weeks. In order to make bank transfers, I must log into his email account to retrieve a code that's required to complete the transaction.
Well ... the other day I was making a payment so I logged into his email, and I didn't mean to see it but there it was: An email from one of my bridesmaids about planning a surprise shower!
I didn't open the email (it's tough sometimes, but I do try to respect his privacy) but it was pretty obvious. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Subject line: Surprise bridal shower!
My FI will only return tomorrow so he doesn't know I know (yet). And the crappy thing is I really love surprises!
