hmm… depends on how you think your family would react. I could see this as being really great or being really… not. Personally, I probably wouldn’t think it a high priority attend a friends daughter’s baptism as I would their wedding, so I would be worried some people you want there might not be? But I’m not very religious, either.. I think I would be put off by this and most of my friends and family probably would too, but you know your family/friends better than we do!

This sounds so cool! I can’t see anyone being offended with it, in fact it’s probably they’ll probably like it better. Less worry over gifts and registries and what to wear, and really emphasizes your whole little family. I love it!

A friend of mine did that a few weeks ago. They were both finishing their bachelors degrees and had a party for that. When the guests arrived they suprised them with a wedding. It was a great success and everyone was really happy with it.
