The FI and I are a good 2 years from TTC as of yet (wedding and house needed before he’ll agree to that lol), but I wanted to throw this out there to see if anyone has had a similar experience.
When I first got my period I was very irregular. Then when I was about 16/17 I went on the Pill, and obviously that regularised things. When I went off it, however, I realised that even though I was now pretty regular, I had a 6 or 8 weekly period rather than monthly. A couple of years back when I met the FI and wanted to get back on BC, I went to the doctors to talk about my options. I mentioned my lengthy cycle and they said that it could be PCOS. Of course I then got terrified, because I know a friend of mine has it and they’ve told her that it will be very difficult for her to have children.
Anyway, I went and did an ultrasound, and the doctor declared that I do not have PCOS, BUT I had suspicious ovaries. Apparently what this means is that my ovaries “kind of believe” that they might be polycystic, but then realise that they’re not. Every cycle.
So I don’t have any condition, which means that when it’s time to TTC I probably won’t get any added help. But I’m not normal, and it will most porbably be more difficult for me to have a baby. Basically, I’m in a lose-lose situation.
Has anyone every experienced or heard of this? I really need some advise or help or at least cheering up, because I’m starting to feel broody and I’m so scared that it will be difficult or me to have a baby.
