Hey news worked too lol.  Until I found out I had this damned disease, I was doing the couch to 5K and Barre.  Now while I am waiting for it to pass I have considered swimming and strength excercises that don’t require me to be on my feet.

I am determined to keep at least the weight I have already lost off even if I don’t lose anymore.  I have also adjusted my menu plans so that I am eating much healthier instead of eating all the crap I was before and that should help hopefully.

A lot of people have had marvelous success with MyFitnessPal… have you tried that yet?  I am pretty sure there’s a Bee group on there as well.

I haven’t really lost any weight, but I’ve lost inches from working out.  Been doing hour long bootcamp classes 3x/week.  I want to start adding Core fusion and yoga dvds, plus walking for the last month.

@abirdword:  I suppose I’d rather be a fit, healthy, toned 140 than a flabby skinnyfat 130… do you take measurements or pictures, or did you just start to notice your clothes fitting differently?

@DaneLady:  I haven’t really, though I wish I’d taken measurements.  I see the difference in the mirror, clothes, in pictures, and a lot of people have commented on it.  I’m really shocked at the difference in my face.  I’ve had a few people ask me if I’ve lost weight…I’ve literally lost like 1 pound.  I weigh 140 as well!

I ran and signed up for lots of 5ks and half marathons to keep me motivated. I also took a yoga/pilates class regularly (called Bodyflow) until I loved it so much I got trained to be an instructor and then started teaching it. The last 6 months, I had personal training once a week for an hour to focus on strength training.

If you want to look good in your dress, the key is exercise, not diet. Diet matters, but full and toned looks better, in my opinion, than skinny fat. Also, exercise often provides me the motivation to eat well.

I tried the Couch to 5k and ended up with some ankle problems… I tried counting calories with the MyFitnessPal and it didnt really make me stop eating… so now I have a personal training session each week.

I picked a really intense trainer who scares me so I know if I dont train during the week I will get told off! I still have over a year until our wedding though 🙂

I have tried some meal replacement shakes. While some of my friends swear by them they all left me dizzy, tired and really hungry. Best bet is to stick to real food. A high protein diet seems to work for me. Hope you find something that works.
