Not sweating for my wedding anymore, I’m sweating for life! Seeing results motivates me to get more results. So far this year I’ve lost right around 15lbs! I also bought my first dress at the kleinfeld sample sale! But ended up having dress regret lol.

nyebridemd :  First of all, congrats on finding your dress! I just found mine yesterday as well :). I had to order it a size up because the back *almost* closed completely, but the bridal salon recommended I order up because the back is lace.  I’m down 15lbs since December, so my goal is to have to have my dress taken in as well.

Motivation wise…getting a fit bit and doing the couch to 5k program really helped me. My motivation fell off a little last week (we had a couple of really big snow storms) but I just downloaded the 30 day shred and I’m on Week 2 of a 10k trainer now that I’ve finished the C25K. I’m hoping to hit this week hard and make my step goal and exercise goal every day like I was when I started.

I have some good playlists for running. I also try to only binge watch certain shows on the treadmill. My fiance is also a big runner, so I make him push me to go for a run if I’m whining that I don’t want to go, so we usually head to the gym together on his running days.

My MOH is moving to New York this week and I’m not going to see her until July. We’re going wedding dress shopping when she’s here so I would be thrilled to lose a bunch of weight and have her barely recognize me! That’s my current motivation 🙂

Now if only ice cream didn’t motivate me to eat it so well 😉

I never could get motivated to lose weight for the wedding but as soon as my husband said “Let’s TTC summer 2018” it’s like something clicked in my head and I’ve been lazer focused on losing weight. I’ve lost alsmot 20 lbs since January and while I have 55 more to go I’ve never been this successful at weight loss or stuck to a diet/exercise regime this long.

Seeing my body get better and better looking and FEELING better has been the motivation. I’m converted for life! I’ve dropped over 20lbs in the last year just eating healthier and in the last 3 months I started weight training like everyday.

First pic is when I first got my dress in May 2016 – pre- alterations and the second is at my final fitting last week. Wedding is in 18 days!

For me, the motivation was always just to look my best in my wedding photos. I didn’t want to be looking at them years later and wish I had the discipline to work out and lose the weight.

The big thing that changed for me was finding some direction. I would always just kind of aimlessly workout and I was tired of getting nowhere. I finally got a personal trainer for a while and that worked for me before it got too pricey. I eventually found Beachbody workouts and they’ve been a staple for me ever since: https://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/online-workouts-videos.do

I find having the structure of a trainer or a program that includes a guided workout is just the easiest way for me to take out all of the guesswork and just focus on the workout.

nyebridemd :  I pay a PT £30 a week, that’s quite motivating haha

Other than that, looking good on my Honeymoon is my main motivation!

Im motivated by all the lush sheath dresses I want to wear, looking and feeling amazing on the big day and obviously what comes after. no one wants to feel like a hippo in a bikini on honeymoon. I tell myself, whats better, lifetime gorgeous pics and wearing an amazing dress OR the taste of pie? the wedding dres will be the most elaborate thing you wear in your life. no one wants to be a fat bride.

So yeah im planning to really strain myself  dieting and excercise for a year
