So sweet :)
This weekend I worked 10 hours both Saturday and Sunday (H1N1 flu weekend for me). Fiance was sick, but last night when I came home, laundry was done and dinner was made-- despite the fact that I was taking care of sick kids instead of my sick honey.
Pure love! He really is the best thing to ever happen to me.
Awwwww. Mine had no problem grabbing a barf bucket for me the day after Christmas (he got home Christmas Eve from Iraq so you can imagine the flu was a big kink in our plans) and holding my hair back while I got sick all day. He let me whine like a little baby, ran to the store for tylenol and chili (for himself, not me! I didn't want to smell food so he didn't want to nauseate me by cooking at home) and rubbed my aching calves all day while I tossed up everything I ate and was in the most anti-romantic mood. I smelled pretty, too, let me tell ya.
Your sick story made me think of mine =].
My FI bought me a plane ticket on Monday to see him on Friday til yesterday just b/c he missed me. It was a wonderful surprise.
Mine bought me a basil plant, even though he knows I'll kill it. Good thing we're not having kids!
My Markie left La Crosse at 11 pm saturday night so that i would not have to sleep alone in Appleton (about 3 hours from home)....he called me at 1:30 and said what are you doing, I said watching tv. Then he asked if I was going to be up for a while. He told me he would be there in 30 minutes. He wasn't even going to come, but he said he missed me and didnt want to make me sleep all by my self. :-) yay for snuggling.
My fiancee has been incredibly sweet this past week. We're moving from Brooklyn, NY to Richmond, VA this Sunday, and we've both been extremely busy. I was wrapping up my full-time job which included putting in an extra ten hours, and he has been studying for his last law school exam. We've both been attempting to pack in the spare minutes we can find in each day, but he has definitely been working harder than me. Love him!
Last week was kind of rough, between super long hours at work, losing Stitch (my guinea pig) and normal pre-wedding jitters. On Thursday, Mr. Y came to my office and asked if I'd checked my mailbox. I said that I'd just gotten my mail and kept typing away. He insisted that I check again, so I did. Little did I know, he'd tucked a sweet little card in my box. The outside of the card read "I love you" and on the inside "You were so worth waiting for." Immediately, the tears welled up when I read his encouraging words.
He's always been a rock for me, and is especially so now!
I woke up to a little note from my hubby the other morning saying he loved me and appreciates all I do for him...the little things are the best! And LLauRRa, your Russell is a sweet one!
@yorkie: How funny, at work we had a chinchilla named Stitch, lol!
Aww! I love these stories! Each and every one made me smile really big. :) Isn't it fun giggling about the boys? hehe
I also had an allergic reaction this weekend and after getting out of ICU I went home. Mr. FF had to work so he had pizza delivered to the house as surprise. And on the top he had our code for I LOVE YOU written on the top. Here is the picture!
We were watching a movie the other day ("Bride Wars" maybe?) and the song, "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Love You" came on. I totally gushed about how I love the song and think we should play it at our wedding.
A few days later I just happened to walk in on him at the computer and he had purchased and was playing the song on iTunes. I thought it was so cute that he A) remembered B) bought the song and C) just did it to make me happy and didn't try to get credit for it. Although, "C" makes me wonder what other wonderful things he does for me that I don't even know I should be appreciating.
@lillindy: Very cute! She was named for my love of embroidery. If I'd have gotten a second one, she would have been Purl. It wasn't until much later that I remembered Lilo & Stitch! :o)
Aww! FPG! I love that you took a picture of the pizza box! hehe what a cute memory. I wonder how he told them to put the code on it without sounding like a crazy. Can you imagine the conversation with the pizza place? hehe
MrsC - Now that song will be extra extra special for you. :)

I just wanted to take a sec and be mushy. :)
Last week I was out of commission with an awful case of hives/ allergic reaction followed up with a butt kicking cold of titanic proportions due to reduced immunity from the steroids I was on for the hives.
I felt gross and unattractive... I was whiny... my hair was a mess and I had the rudolph red nose and upper lip from the cold.
While
whiningexpressing my sadness about being sick and unproductive all week long, kleenexes were everywhere, the apartment was a mess, Russell sat attentively listening to my complaints. I let out a huge sneeze and didn't get to my kleenex in time. Russell handed me a tissue and gave me a huge hug proclaiming out loud, "She's ALLL mine!" heheIt made me smile and feel less embarrassed over my sneeze. I love how he is so sweet even when I'm all whiny and gross.
Yay for fiancées!
Here's a pic of him this weekend, I was still looking gross but taking pics of the bouquet I DIYed and he snuck up behind me to give me kisses. So far he's doing pretty good on the sickness and in health thing. :) What's something your fiancée done recently to make you feel extra lucky? :)
