I wanted to write a positive post. So here it is. And I want to hear similar stories!
My story is about J, and how sweet he has been lately. I’ve been sick with a horrible cold for the past 1.5 weeks now and he’s been amazing. I stayed home sick from work yesterday, and he sent me a text asking if I needed anything. All I asked for was cough syrup. But when he came home from work, his hands were full of 6 cans of chicken noodle soup, cough syrup, and 12 rolls of toilet paper (um… I have a REALLY horrible cold). He cut up some cheese and crackers for me and layed it out on a plate like you’d see on a fancy platter. It was really cute. Then, he was really supportive when I changed my mind and wanted soup, lol. So he made me the soup AND green tea! He said: “Look what I put in the soup for you”. For a SPLIT second, I thought I’d look down and see a ring floating in there. But no. So I stirred the soup around and saw little star pasta’s! He then said: “I added those star pasta’s that your mom makes for you when you’re sick”. Later that night he rubbed my back while in bed each time I coughed my brains out. I kept the poor guy up all night (he wakes up at 5am for work), and all he had to say to my apologies were “Meh, don’t worry about it. Do you feel better today?”
What has your SO done lately that turns you to mush?

Last night, my knees and ankles were hurting. (I’m pregnant.) It was like 3am, but he got up and rubbed my ankles to try to make them feel better so I could go back to sleep. 🙂

@MsMamaBear: Aww, that’s so sweet. I’m not pregnant, but I often get sore joints as well… Knees, ankles, hips. It’s painful! I think the weather is the reason though.

That is SO cute!!
I’ve been super tired lately given a crazy period at work and so the boy has been helping me to bed each night after I’ve fallen asleep at 9pm on the couch!

I can totally relate Gwen! I’ve just recovered from a bad cold (what is it about colds that make you feel like you’re dying!?). I ended up leaving work early one day last week and went to my SO’s house because he had the afternoon off. When I got there he had lunch ready, fed me some cold medicine and green tea, put some bedsocks on my feet and wrapped me in a blanket on the lounge. I ended up falling asleep on his chest, since it is the most calming place in the world to lie… while he watched tv and played with my hair. I didn’t care that I was sick at that point! It was probably the highlight of my week!
It’s so hard to be patient sometimes… I just want to marry him and start living together. And he has the ring hidden somewhere in his house!! But he really is amazing, ring or no ring. It’s good to focus on the good things, great thread!

Well, this weekend SO took me on a picnic to the mountains in a beautiful spot by a waterfall, with all my favorite picnic foods, and he even brought a blanket for us to lie on – total surprise and we had a wonderful time.
And…. tonight I came home from being out all day and as soon as I walking in the door he told me to sit down, and he’d made us a beef roast, and roast vegitables, and lit candles, and made desert and got us nice wine. So thoughtful!! Then, he ran us a hot bath (with candles!) as I was tired from my day!
