Here's how we did ours and I really liked it. Very simple so we could talk to people easily. Also, the area in front of our table was clear, so people could walk to the front of our table very easily too.

what about if you do a big fancy bow in the middle and then maybe a couple of bowls filled with the pine cones and ornaments to either side that way people can see you guys clearly since the decor will be low and not really tall.
We are doing white tablecloths with damask table runners, small cylinder vases filled with black and white M&M's with one deep red rose in the vase as a centerpiece, then pretty much black, white and burgundy everything else.
We were pretty boring, but I still thought it looked nice. We just did the same thing that we had on everyone else's table.
Maybe you could do gold painted pine cones? Either scattered boardering your table or in glass jars/vases like at pottery barn? Think it would make for more timeless vs seasonal photos :) Cute theme, excellent for the area/time of year!
wow i did some work for 10 mins and come back to all these replys you guys are great!
Most people have a vase on the table for the brides bouquet to provide the "flowers" for the table. That's what we'll be doing!
I wont have a bouquet, we are not getting married that day it is just our reception.
I wanted something pretty low so people will be able to see us and take pictures easily.
We are doing a sweetheart table also and I didn't want to do a tall centerpiece, mostly because I dont want mine or my guests view obstructed for pictures or anything...i found this picture on google, http://designsbyhemingway.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/sweetheart-table.jpg
What about hanging a heart shaped pine wreath at the front of the table between the initials of your first names? This one is moss but reflects the look.

You can then keep the other decorations on the table low-with pine cones, candles and bring in your red and gold- so you can easily visit with your guests.
Ours is just going to be like everyone elses. Our thinking is that everyone will already know who we are, so we don't need to point it out to them.
I'm a big candle fan. Maybe a few pillar candles of varying heights displayed on a mirrored tray?
Here is our sweetheart table. The other tables had large trees with paper flowers and birds in them. I wanted something with the same theme but smaller so people could see us.
I let our florist do the whole thing without any real input so the first time I saw our decor was when I walked into the reception. I was happy with how it turned out, thought it was simple but tasteful and elegant. And that fireplace felt really good on my back all night because we were outside :)
@julies1949: I really like this idea! Im gonna have to talk to my mom (shes a florist) and see what she can do!
We didn't do a sweetheart table, but had a head table.
I made luminaires that said Mr. & Mrs that sat in the middle, right in front of us. I then had two vases behind the signs to hold mine & my MOH's bouquets & littered the table with votives. The two wing tables with our attendants had a vase in the center w/ each of my other maid's bouquets & a tall vase with dried long grass & a floating candle, which turned out beautifully. Those tables were also littered with votives. The head table was some of my favorite decor. I wish I had done more things like that for the other tables!

What is everyone using for decor on their table?
Any suggestions for me? We are doing red, green & gold christmas with lots of pine cones & no snowflakes :)
