Ladies: I am in love with a ring, similar to the below picture, but I am worried the asymmetry will eventually bother my anal, perfectionistic self. Are any of you with asymetrical rings ever bothered by it? Thoughts and pictures appreciated!!!

@kZs: hey!! gorgeous ring!!! mine isnt quite as fancy as that one, but it def has an asymetrical look to it and i LOVE it. im just having some trouble with figuring out a wedding band (but there are tons of options, havent decided on anything yet).. here’s mine:
(sorry in advance if the photos are terribly large/bad, i tried to get creative hahah idk if it worked)

Yeah… I love swirly rings but I’m way too ocd and a perfectionist to get one like that haha. However, that being said, if you like it now I feel like you’re only gonna love it more, not less. But I could be wrong. I settled on this one, so still swirls but also symmetrical:

Oh the irony of this post…i just got a swirl ring and im anal too so i was concerned about it but i have fallen in love with it. Bottom line is that you love the man. the ring is perfect for me and now i know that…and its so unique.

Wow! Beautiful rings ladies! The one I am looking at actually comes with a matching band so that part I don’t have to worry about. Rachie576, have you considered having a band custom made? What kind of bands have you looked at thus far? I have also looked at one similar to yours loving life. The matching band was not a single row like yours though. It was an identical swirly band just without the solitare, which looked too bulky on my tiny finger. I will definitely have to look into something with a single row now! I’m glad to know I’m not the only OCD/anal/perfectionistic gal out there that thinks about these things! Haha! You all make good points. The uniqueness of it is what I love most. Thanks for sharing!!! 🙂

I was IN LOVE with this swirl ring I found on shopnbc (of all places) but worried about how to pair it with a wedding band. Also it was a little above our budget at the time.

@kZs: haven’t really looked into it too much but i saw a similar ring/set online that might possibly work, otherwise we will probably be going the custom route.. i know i always have the option to go without a band (but i think i would like one).. or to do the ering as a right hand ring? but i have a claddagh ring on the right hand in that place sooo probably not? haha thanks for the idea though, i have some time -thank goodness cause im so indecisive!

I don’t have a swirl ring, but I love the one you posted!!

I have a ring VERY similar to the swirl ring posted, except mine has antique designs on the sides of the mounting. It also have a RBC ideal cut 1 ct center. This is my second ering, due to the 1st one being too bulky! I’m a surfer, and it reminds me of a wave swirling around a diamond. I personally love it very much!! The only problem is, you have to get custom bands to match it. My wedding band alone will cost 2k to match my ring!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but does your ring have a str8 band? If so, than you might be surprised with a simple wedding band w/ same sized diamonds. Mine has a completely swirled band until the back part.

I don’t remember who’s ring this is (sorry) but I saved this one to show my jeweler – I’m combining a bunch of rings into a custom one. This one has swirls AND symmetry and is just gorgeous! Whoever is the lucky owner of these fingers and this ring must stare at it and smile every day 🙂

I have a swirl ring! I love it and I love that I don’t see many (really, any) like it all the time. I will have to get a custom band, but I’m willing to wait on getting the band because I love my ering so much! I have never second guessed it 🙂

My ring is not a “swirl” per se, it’s more like a bypass setting, but it IS asymmetrical and thus could be difficult to match. It has never bothered me because I adore unique settings. Also, i knew from the beginning that I would not be wearing two rings as a set. I am not planning on trying to fit a wedding band to it, I’ll just move the e-ring on my right hand eventually. This works out well, because I love really wide wedding bands that are meant to stand alone.

@MrsSnowMountain: I’ve seen your ering around in the board before. Very pretty! It has this really soft and delicate feel to it! Congrats!:)
