hi bees! seeking your help on yet another ring project. my awesome daddy recently gave me a asscher cut diamond bracelet. the diamonds are (im guessing) about the same size as the czs in my wedding band. i dont like the bracelet style, and ive always dreamt of having asscher/emerald cuts as a part of my wedding set. ive been thinking of taking some of the diamonds from the bracelet and putting them in my band. if you already have the materials needed, how much would it cost(guestimate) to get them switched? this way i can have a sentimental piece of two of my favorite men in the world to look at all the time. thanks so much in advance, bees!!!

You should take it to a jewellers for an opinion. I wish I could be of more help though. I had a ring I wanted to add some stones to along the side, but according to the jeweller there wasn’t enough metal. (different than your issue, but the fit- channel set – prong? has to be good too)

bgswifey: It will cost $5,000!!! Actually, i don’t know because I’m not a jeweler. I’m sure it will cost a few hundred dollars but a jeweler will be able to tell you best.

Another good point I should’ve added the band is channel set princess and gems up for debate are asscher cut diamonds. Thanks bees!

If the wedding band is sterling silver I would recommend against it as the silver won’t be strong enough over time to hold in the diamonds and they’ll probably fall out. My opinion would be to cast the stones in a brand new ring instead of using an existing one. But as PPs say, definitely consult a jeweler.

Can we see pictures? 🙂 Also, I agree with PP take it to a jeweler and see what they say and it would be wise to get a few different quotes
