swollen ring finger in summertime?

@Jen51287:  happens to me all the time. I wear a lot of rings (three RHR, used to wear one on my left middle finger until I got the e-ring), so in the summer it can be a struggle to get the rings off at the end of the day. It’s harder on some of my fingers, because the knuckle is larger than the base of my finger, so the ring is snug around the knuckle but a bit looser once it’s on.

I don’t have that problem with my e-ring though, because I don’t take it off (except maybe to look at it). Actually my e-ring is a little looser than I thought it would be. I could probably go down a half size, but then it might get too snug in the summer. I’m considering going down 1/4 size though.

Yes 🙁 Mine swell because the humidity where I live is high, and it the temp has been in the high 30s this week. My finger is a size 4 but my ring is a 4.5 and it’s somewhat tight. I’m worried that in the winter, it’ll fly off my finger.

You can put your hand in cold water for a bit to reduce swelling and get the ring off. I prefer to have my ring bigger that my finger to accomodate swelling.

Yep, it’s normal.  I’ve given my right hand a rest from my RHR for a day or too as it had swollen and gotten sore.  The RHR is rather thick.

I’ve seen other posts on here, a lot of bees find the same thing.  Your finger also shrinks in the cold.

Mine do too!!!! Yesterday I could barely get it off. threats why I was so concerned about the size when he was ordering it. It’s ofine when they are not swollen but when they are, it’s A little tight. Mine also swell when I eat too much salt and don’t drink enough water to flush it all out.

This has been a problem since my wedding band came in.  First time in my life I’ve said this but I can’t wait for winter.

Yup, my ring size fluctuates by half a size, not just in heat but also time of day.  In cold weather 5.5 fits me perfectly, but in heat my fingers will swell to 6, to the point a ring will leave red dents in my skin.  I knew this going in, so I ordered my rings in 6.  They’re often loose, but I’d prefer a bit loose to digging into my skin.
