Have you looked at any reception venues in the area yet that I can cross off. I'm from the Western Suburbs that I could look into some places. I am a little too far out west but I know the area well! How many guests are you estimating?
There is the American Legion in Wayzata,
Medina Ballroom in Medina Not too far from Wayzata
I will keep looking for better ones! I promise. Any hotel may also offer a banquet room along with golf courses in the area would be a great place for that time of year.
My sister recently got married at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista. That's the only suggestion I can give since I'm not from the area.
I also suggest Gale Woods! I am getting married there August 2010. The overall price is fairly reasonable - but you can bring in your own wine and beer and the approved caterering list is also cost-effective. On top of that it's beautiful!!

Hey! New MN bride here! Was wondering if anyone had an great ideas for a budget-friendly reception venue in the SW or western burbs? Any ideas are welcome! We're having the ceremony at Wayzata Free in Plymouth so we need a reception site somewhere close. We're looking at April/May 2010.
