I’m looking at receptions at the moment and i was wondering if you girls could help me..
i really love Curzon Hall but oh my gosh i have read so many bad reviews that it scares me..
i was wondering if you girls could share with me the reception you got married at or are looking at getting married at and share what you love/d about it or what was/is not so great!
Thank you in advance!! =)

@lLadyl: Hi there!! A fellow Sydney girl here 🙂 I don’t think i’ll be much help though as we got married at Hamilton Island.
Although i DO love curzon hall 🙂 …. Or you have Doltone House (at Sylvania Waters) or even Le Montage or the Conca d’oro.
When is your wedding??

@littleG: oh wow, Hamilton Island! that would have been gorgoues!! 🙂 i might be a little crazy LoL it’s not till 2015 but i just feel the sooner i start things the less stressed i’ll get and it will give me an idea of how much we’ll have to save.
yeah, i’ve been to a wedding at Le Montage, it was very beautiful but i didnt really like that the bathrooms were shared between 2 weddings.. there was always too much of a line haha
have you ever attended a wedding at Curzon hall? i’ve heard negative things about them not returning calls and being very difficult to work with but im wondering if on the day it’s good?
I’ll definitely have to check those other 2 out 🙂 Thanks heaps!

@lLadyl: Hi fellow Sydney bee!
I’m getting married in Fiji as it is where i met my fiance but i did look into getting married in Sydney. My dream venue was the green room at Quay restaurant. Beautiful quality food, overlooking the harbour. Prices are high but it is amazing!

I have been to a gorgeous wedding at Curzon Hall, it was a few years ago now… The room looked gorgeous, the food was delicious and plentiful and the photos of the couple around the venue are amazing.. on the night of their wedding there were another 2 weddings on and the bathrooms were shared..
I am having mine at Taronga Zoo! The function centre is beautiful and has amazing harbour views. We chose it because we love the concept and the views, and the fact that we can have giraffes and elephants in our wedding photos! 🙂
The other places we inspected were Sergeants Mess – absolutely to die for but very pricey due to their minimum spend… its a spectacular venue and i highly recommend that you check it out if its in your budget – and the QVB which is nice, but not modern enough for our taste

Not sure what kind of numbers you are inviting, we had 275, so our venues were limited. If you have upward of 200, I reccomend Albert Palais Grand Ballroom at leichhardt. They were amazing to deal with. The food was great and the service too! PM me if you want more details! Good luck
