    Hi bees,

I'm looking for my reception venue. I am considering the epping club, colebee centre, belgenny farm and rydges hotel north sydney. Does anyone have an opinion on these places?

is the colebee centre the one at nurragingy reserve????  my nephew got married there, nice outdoor gardens and gazebos, even a waterfall by memory so easy for photography and i found the reception centre nice. food was good, staff organized and no issues with parking/feeling confined as we could wander outdoors

my friend just had her wedding at Le Montage in Leichardt that was very nice - good staff and the food nice

We looked at the Colebee Centre and they have lovely package deals and a nice, beautiful background for pictures in the gardens.

The Epping Club is ok - we had our rehearsal dinner there, but I didn't see their wedding room/ballroom, if they have one. There's a carpark next door - near the Coles, so good parking.

Belgenny Farm is BEAUTIFUL but pricy for where/what it is.

My advice is to visit, visit, visit. I went to loads and they are nothing like the websites show them as. Happy planning! (I miss this stage!)

What kind of wedding are you planning? Sorry I can't help on any of those venues although what I've seen of Belgenny Farm, it's just beautiful! I can recommend my venue though, Athol Hall in Mosman. Garden, beach and city/harbour views all in one and not too bad with prices.

Have a look around at places and I'm sure you'll know your venue when you step into it!

    Thanks everyone :)

I want a venue that makes my guests feel comfortable and spoilt- so great food (a little fancy preferrably) and space for a dance floor is a must. I love the visual aspects of a pretty farm like Belgenny but just not too sure that I'm willing to sacrifice on other things for the price. I'm doing my PhD, so I need a venue that is super organised and with as many inclusions (e.g. DJ) as possible so that I have less vendors to be responsible for (read: this wedding must not consume my entire life LOL). As much as I would love a DIY wedding I'm looking for an easier option, and just going to add little DIY touches here and there such as handmade placecards and home made caramel popcorn in glass jars as bonbonniere.

i looked at the Belgenny site - my only issue was Camden, thats a long way to travel to unless you live out west

we nearly had a reception at Bewowra Waters (we eloped in the end) and they have package deals, http://www.berowrawatersweddings.com.au/

what i liked about it, no room charge, no cutting charge, table candelabras inc (less flower budget), at the time the balcony was included (you have to ask if it still is), onsite co ordinator and just pick a menu.  no dj though but they have vendor recomendations

Sorry, can't really help you with those venues, but in North Sydney Aqua dining was amazing, but only 80 guests!

Good luck! I agree with Jaguar - visit, visit, visit!

Dede's at Sydney Rowers Club looks pretty good $110 pp including 3 course sit down meal, standard beverage package, water views my friend got married there. There's a place at dural too $105 pp including alcohol and a whole long list of inclusions like dj, table set up, chair covers n sashes etc I thought that one looked really good for what it includes it's called Springfield house. There's Lauriston house too to name a few I don't know where we will have ours but I'dlike it to include alot to save us the hassle
