Sorry, there are no users yet.
So as of today, I am 82 days from the BIG DAY! Things are starting to come together and other than a small panic attack this past week, I am happy with everything is at in the planning process. I haven't found "THE" dress yet but I am ok with that actually. I have a couple of really good options and have recently found out that alterations will only take 1 week - 2 weeks max since I will go through someone local so I know the perfect dress that is within my budget will come to me. I went shopping yesterday and bought everything I needed for my center pieces...minus 3 vases. I got everything the store had in stock but came up 3 short. I went ahead and got everything for the vases (candles and shells) and will go to another location today to get the remaining 3 then I can cross that off my list. Today is a trip to Michael's to look for daisies we can place around the various areas (centerpieces, guest book, etc). In case I forgot to mention, our theme is seashells and daisies. I am SOOOO excited to get everything together! Even though we are both encores, I have never planned a wedding before (long story) and he has never been included on the planning process so we are having a blast doing everything together.
Things still to do:
Get table covers and chair covers for reception site - I placed an ad on here yesterday but nothing yet.
Secure the cake - This past Thursday I met with the girl that I REALLY want to do our cake so now I'm just waiting on the final estimate. She works at a local pizza place but she makes all of their desserts from scratch. She also makes wedding and birthday cakes. Her cheesecake is to die for!!! A M A Z I N G !!! She also does a dark chocolate cake with peanut butter moose and a carrot cake that melts in your mouth. I know she does pretty much any flavor you want but those are the ones we chose. Since we are doing a beach theme, we are going to put the different layers on stands to make a "stairway" and the cheesecake will be at the bottom. She is going to put seashells and coral made from melted chocolate and modeling chocolate all around it and on top of the cake their will be "sand" (crushed cookie crumbs) with a heart drawn in it and our initials. I LOVE the theme we came up with for the cake and am so happy with that decision!
The dress! - Once again, I know the right one will come along so not really worried!
Decorations - still need to decide what other decorations I'm going to use and how I'm going to set everything up...this includes the archway for the ceremony that will be held on the beach.
If anyone has any ideas or sees some obvious things I am missing, please let me know. I never knew the list could be so LONG!!! :-)
