Yep, mine does, too.  He prefers the rings from our milk jugs.  Tabbies are supposed to be freakishly smart.  I know our’s is.

UGH I reaaaally want our new Ragdoll to fetch.  He’s only 14 weeks old but I’ve been reading online about how to train your cat to fetch.  I’ll let you know if I’m successful Lol

My FI’s parents tabby plays fetch. He’s pretty smart so I do think there is something about the tabby cats being smarter then some cats.

We have two bengals one will play fetch. Before we got a second cat we would be woken up in bed at night by the cat bringing us random object. He just set them down next to me and meow, things like a straw, hair tye, and no joke one I woke up to my tooth brush next to me! Now they just play with each other in the night which is quite irritating too because we have a loft style apartment with no doors (except bathroom, obviously) and an open floor plan so we can hear anything they are doing anywhere in the apartment!

Bengals are very intellegent. Both of our cats respond to their names and I have taught one to sit and lay down on command! I’ve heard Bengals are easy to toliet train but my cats LOVE water so I can’t work on that with them. They would play in the toliet if the seat was left up and they have when guests leave the seat up, we always shut it.

My little girl does the exact same thing! Except that she’s all gray. I love it! Often, she’ll even carry it back to me and drop it in my hand. She can even catch it (whatever “it” is at the moment) with her paws and put it in her mouth before her front paws touch the ground again. So cute!!!

My Maggie does this with the ties to garbage bags! I scrunch them up for her and she loves playing fetch! She’ll drop it in my lap, i’ll throw it, and she’ll fetch, play with it for a minute, and bring it back to me.

My old roommate’s cat played fetch all the time! She was all gray though – no tabby.  She’d either bring me her little mouse toy or a specific pair of balled up socks.  She meowed very loudly if we didn’t play with her.  She also loved to play with hair bands, paper bags, & q-tips.

Our cat plays fetch only with her fishie.  But fishie is almost dead and is a tiny scrap of fabric now.

Our orange family kitty (Andy Roo) loves to fetch! He LOVES milk carton “rings” and Qtips the best!! Our other gray kitty (Jaime) just watches him. She could care less about fetching. 🙂

My cat loooooves to play fetch with little things, mostly: elastic hair bands, q-tips, plastic rings from milk or bottled water and plastic bendy straws. She esp. loves when I snap the hair band and they fly! She also likes to steal whole jalapenos and roll them around the living room in the middle of the night.

Her favorite game is the “make light game”, where I sit next to her on the floor, and catch my ring in the sun, so that tons of little circles of light go on the wall. She sits there swishing her tail back and forth and purring SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO loud while she watches the lights on the wall!!!!

My grey tabby fetched.  She only liked to chase those googlie eyed pom poms with antennas (you know the ones I’m talking about?).  Regular pom poms wouldn’t do!
