You can get them online for around that, or less than 15, and sell them afterwards to recoup some of the money. Check eBay for some deals, or online linen sellers like LinenTablecloth.com for special offers. Have you checked if your venue has a relationship with any local rental places, to get better pricing? Maybe check on the local board for your area or check the WB classifieds.
Try efavormart.com I got my napkins and table runners there for waay cheaper then I could find them anywhere else. They were inexpensive and good quality!
Another suggestion: If you live near a college, you should contact their catering department. Many times colleges have linen, napkins, etc. and are willing to rent them for a lot cheaper than you can buy or rent. When I researched table linen in my area, the average table linen was about $18; however, I'm renting table linen from my alma mater for $2.50 per linen! It's an amazing deal!
Linentablecloth.com has the best pricing I found and if you follow them on Twitter, they often have contests and discount codes!
eFavormart.com also has very competitve pricing. Plus the more you buy, the less they cost!
Tableclothsfactory.com!
It is owned by the same people as efavormart I think, but it is cheaper than efavormart. I ordered all of my linens -serving tablecloths, guest table cloths, dinner napkins, overlays and runners for just under $500!
They ship really fast (if not sold out) and they are really good qaulity for the money.
I got 120" round white tablecloths at tablesclothfactory.com for around $15 each, washed them in the washer, and sold them for about half that on Craigs List really easy and quickly.
i bought mine secondhand for$10 a piece. just post in the classifieds section of this site!
Our hotel provides tablecloths, but for some reason we lost our minds and thought we might bring in custom cloths. We priced it out and for 16 tables it was $2,500!! I was like... Um.. I'll stick with the high-ivory damask, thank you!
Seriously??? That's almost $160 EACH. Crap. I have a meeting with a linen place tomorrow. I was prepared for about 20 bucks each, but that's crazy.
jeez that's ridiculous. I have no leads for you. Luckily my caterer provided them for us.
We rented lamour table cloths from BBJ linens through the in-laws entertainment company. We had an outdoor wedding and during our first meeting I asked his Aunt what would happen if the linens were damaged- she assured this was factored into the price. We ended up paying 46 dollars a table (linens were 23 a piece, we needed two per table because they were square). Welll.. several linens were damaged during our wedding. She charged my parents credit card 2500 dollars for SIX damaged linens.
My husband's aunt is a liar and a crook, but I highly suggest taking other posters advice and make your own linens or find someone local and reputable..
Our caterer provides them for the round tables, but if you need them for say, the gift table or placecard table, they charge $26.95! It's such a racket. I said I was bringing my own and they said I couldn't.
If you think that's bad, I just had a linens meeting yesterday in which I was loving a solid dupioni tablecloth. Just received an e-mail with the estimate and they're 60 dollars PER tablecloth! Um, farewell dupioni tablecloths!
Honestly I dont think that is too much for linens - they have to deliver it (gas) and pick it up (gas) and have them cleaned. Try and talk to your caterer or venue to see if they can get a better deal for you. I rented my satin linens that were about $19 each for the wholesaler price and then I got 3 other linens from a different company that were sequined and beautiful to go on our sweetheart table and cake table and they were $65 each!
I just have to vent and say that I agree. My original idea for a tablecloth was in the $50-$60 price range. The first time a rental place quoted me that price I said they're CRAZY!!! And then I realized every other rental place was crazy as well. It was pintuck silver tablecloth, cute and all but $50-60 for rental??? No way Jose. I opted for a very cute but much cheaper option. Funny thing is there were way more expensive tablecloths, I guess I am being either naive or cheap but there's no way someone should pay that much for a tablecloth.

Hi Hive,
Well it is one of THOSE wedding planning days. You know the ones I mean . . . where nothing is easy and everything is too expensive. And so I turn to you.
I'm a little frustrated right now by how much the local rental place wants to charge for table cloths. I'm not talking anything fancy just plain old ivory. Does anyone know of any alternatives for renting/buying 120" round table cloths for less than $15 a piece?
Am I crazy or does that just seem like a lot of money for something that people are going to pay little attention to and probably just spill on anyway.
I would appreciate any ideas!
Thanks!
