hey girlie do you have any pictures of anything? if you can't light the favors, can you put a ribbon or something like that around them? to be honest when i first hear heart shaped mirrors i cringed, but it could be really pretty maybe i'm just imaging it the wrong way...
First off...you can find much of the same stuff at Dollar Tree's that are in the OTC catalog. You can see it first hand and save on shipping. You can also find the items at Mighty Dollars, Deals and 99 cent stores. Are you talking about getting the votive holders with the stick on letters from OTC catalog? If so and you haven't ordered them STOP. I have seen as I had to help a bride last minute that bought them. You can get boxes of votive holders from Hobby Lobby and Michaels, tie a ribbon around it it will look nicer. Or you can print onto colored velum and wrap. Not trying to sound harsh but there are so many things you can do your self without buying from OTC. Get some cylinder vases, place flowers or petals in bottom and float a candle in the top. I recently did one for a bride using calla lilies in the bottom. Look through the inspiration photos of tables on Project Wedding, visit etsy, read through the DIY ideas on here.
Hey girlie, can you give us some pictures? I'm having a really hard time imagining what you're trying to do!
Okay, I finally got a few pics. I don't have a pic of the venue, but it's a hotel ballroom (chandeliers, lots of burgundy colors in room, round tables, projection screen, huge dance floor and bar, pretty much the usual). The first pic is of my Alter arrangements and the actual flowers I will be using. The second is of what my centerpieces will look like.
@wreathartist: I recently went to a wedding where they had all of their stuff from OTC, and while it didn't look super duper fancy, it was still cute. I'm not a crafty person at all, and am worried about buying a bunch of different things and trying to piece them together.
As far as the favors go, I am thinking about using the votives for favors at my shower, and then for the wedding I was thinking about making chocolate covered strawberries and putting them in white favor boxes with maybe some burgundy ribbon. My only concern is that they will melt. I've talked to a few friends, and they said to put fruit in the vases and scatter it around the bottom of the centerpieces with tealights. I think it will cost way too much money, and I think fruit just laying on tablecloths is kind of gross.
Let me know what you guys think!

At my wedding we are having Cascading centerpieces. As our favors, we are giving out personalized votive holders, and I am thinking about putting burgundy tealights in them at each place setting. However, I know that I can not burn them. I had thought about using flameless tealights, but am unsure because of them looking tacky and Halloween like. I want to use more candles and I have found some really cute heart mirrors (that are not as big as the normal table mirrors) as well. However, I don't know where to place them...on either side, in front of, etc?? Mind you I am a budget bride, and am buying the majority of my table stuff from oriental trading. I had thought about putting tealights in a circle around the bottom of the vase, but am not sure how it would look, or what color tealights to do. I was going to scatter rose petals as well, but my flowers are an aray of colors, so that will not work. I found some stuff called ice, but am not sure on that either. My wedding is in 3 months and I need HELP!!! My colors are burgundy with white and silver accents and burgundy, deep blue, yellow, purple, and white flowers!!! Help me Bees!!!
