I think the navy would be a really nice contrast and stabilize the whole look. If you can afford to rent navy linens, go for it! I do think that there's the potential to wash everything out if you use ivory linens.
I just wanted to chime in and say I was up all night tossing and turning worrying about my linen situation as well!!! Haha I am so tired right now.. and am kinda in the same boat as you wondering about plum vs. ivory linens. So I guess I can't really give you any tips since I'm also going through this dilemma, but I feel your pain!!
I love all the details for your wedding, it looks like it is coming together so perfectly. I think the idea with the navy and blush would look really nice and perfect for that space.
Coming from a married bee, try not to stress too much. I know it's hard and I stressed over linens too but then in the end I couldn't even tell you what ended up on my tables. I didn't notice much during the receptions (I noticed centerpieces more) and I maybe have one or two pictures. Enjoy it and try not to go crazy over napkin colors :)
@Nicoley1985: LOL! it was/is THE WORST! i am a nanny, and am currently at work praying i get all 3 kiddos to nap at the same time so i can try to sneak one in! i cant believe something like linens had me so paranoid! lol. good luck to us!
You stated you wanted "romantic shabby chic" so I would stick to pale colored linens & napkins (ivory linens w/ blush napkins.)
If you go with the navy this will provide contrast in the room. The linens will be what stands out first since you have a light colored room, light flowers/centerpeices, etc.
So if you want more contrast go with navy (but this won't be the most "romatic & soft" look.) But if you do want that romantic soft, go with the ivory/blush combo.
Navy and blush will make a statement for sure. Plus your venue is so white to start I think the colors will really add a fantastic pop. Good luck!
Can you do blush colored tablecloths with navy napkins?
I think ivory tablecloths is too much ivory with the space, and I love navy tablecloths, but because of the contrast it will definitely be the focal point.
Love your dress, btw!!
heres a blush i found .. (but were doing gold plates & chairs, not that silver)

So bees, i could NOT sleep last night because for some reason i started thinking "220 days left. i feel really on top of things! vendors all booked. venues booked. save the dates underway. invitations underway. the only thing that seems to be left is favors and decor... shoot. table linens. what do i want" and that thought proceeded to the next and the next.
with that said, i need your help! goin for somewhat of a romance shabby chic laid back theme. i dont want anything stuffy. i want everyone to feel relaxed and comfortable. colors are champagnes, golds, blush pinks and navy. i for the LIFE of me cant put things together and dont know how its all supposed to look once it does come together!
my dress (bought) & groom wants to wear tan suit with navy tie.
bridesmaids (bought in same color, 3 diff styles) groomsmen in navy suits with the pink tie
flowergirl outfit
church (booked)
reception (booked)
so you can see - our reception venue is 9000+sq feet of cream colored marble openess. THATS where my issue comes in. we had originally been thinking of ivory linens, with navy napkins and pinks to use as centerpieces.
one of our centerpieces that we really wanted (picked this florist specifically for these) were the ostrich feathers. not for every table, but for some of them. ours would be ivory feathers with pink lighting inside of the vase/tube.
and i also fell in LOVE with these teacup candles for centerpieces. MIL has 12 sets, so that could occupy at least 12 of our tables.
are all of these light pastel colored things going to look washed out with such a huge cream colored space?! im also hoping that having a photobooth, a dessert table, and a few vintage things on display such a window shutter with pictures & flowers, hopefully an older looking table with our suitcase & birdcage for cards etc will help break it up a little. even though all of our flowers are full plush romantic blooms in shades of ivories and pinks.
because then i saw this. and loved the navy there too. these would have to be purchased outside of our cater & venue because neither have navy linens.. but does it look okay? does it fit?! oye!
if you have ANY ANY ANY pictures, thoughts, or suggestions - i am so ready to hear them! how AWFUL was it to stay up tossing and turning about which linens and how to decorate tables. LOL!
thank you bees :)
