We took photos of people in our wedding party and family who had wedding photos, I scanned them into my computer and made them all the same size.  I bought cheap acrylic frame at the Dollar Store as well.  We displayed them along with photos of close family members that have passed away all together on the same table as our guest book.  I don’t have a photo handy but if I remember I’ll look for it tonight.

if they don’t have wedding photos, you could just do pics of them together.

i wanted to do this, but fi’s side has a lot of divorce so i scrapped it. i didn’t want it to be all my family!

i love this idea and beings that we have a really small budget, i’m considering doing this for some of our decor….but i have a similar situation that most of my family have been divorced or dont have their wedding pics at all so im currently thinking of other ways to do it….

if you turn out to have more pics to incorporate than the frames you already bought, i’d suggest getting smaller sized frames for the extra ones that way you have a variety of sizes of pics on the table….add a few tealights and flowers and i think it’d be a gorgeous touch 🙂

here are some of the inspiration pics i was looking at for this idea…

We’re doing this with pictures of both sets of each of our grandparents and each of our parents’ wedding pictures.  However, we’re very lucky in that there wasn’t any divorce among those six couples.  I think if there were, I’d probably skip it.

We’re putting them all on the table with our guest book.

Doing this as well but ONLY with the parents/grandparents.  They are all old photo’s of their weddings and we are blessed to have such photo’s.  They will also be by our memorial poem to honor the grandparents no longer here.

We’re having a vintage theme so we’re using old photos of our families in frames on the cake table.  I have the cake cutting picture from my parent’s wedding but sadly, FI’s parents are divorced.  We’ve decided to just use old photos of his parents separately in their place.  All of our grandparents were still together so we’ve been trying to find their wedding photos but I don’t want to exclude his parents or make them feel “different” since they will have non-wedding photos used.

I personally love the idea, but maybe not to the extent of including cousins.

If you are worried about not having enough from your side, why dont you include some family photos of your and your friends from both sides, to sort of even it out? this way you will still be using his tradition, but making it work for you!
