Does anyone know where I can get nice table linens, not just the regular solid colored kind but kinda fancy looking ones for a good price. I am on a budget. How much do table linens usually cost? Thanks.
Do you mean napkins as well? Or just tablecloths...you can rent napkins in ANY solid colour, I have found Hillcrest Party Rentals is reasonable and nice. As for table cloths..if you are in LA...Honey go downtown, pick out any yardage you like and get someone to do a simple hem. Even if you throw them away you will save money!
Yes, just go downtown. I had plain ivory tablecloths made that were big enough to go all the way to the floor for both 8 feet and 6 feet rectanglar tables. Including the cloth, they were only $12 each. I also had red organza overlays done for $4/each! However, if you want nicer materials, the cost will probably be a bit higher. Here is the place that I got them from below. I would suggest you go and see if they have any material that you like. Of course if you use their materials and labor, it will be cheaper than if you were to purchase the material from some other shop. If that is the case ask them up front how much it would be just to do the sewing. Of course then you will have less bargaining power since you are just using their labor.
If you don't find any materials you like in that shop, there is actually a ton of fabric shops at the block across the street. But make sure you bargain, bargain, bargain. Just suggest a lower price and if they say no, just walk away and see if they call you back. Good luck!
