We have been through loads of ideas related to us – Ski terms, Met players, sailing terms, Favourite films. But nothing we actually want to use.
Any inspiration would be lovely because we need some help please

we are naming our tables after our favorite songs… so when the DJ plays that song that table has to get up and start dancing. Everyone knows we are fun and crazy

movies, movie stars, songs from your favorite artist, bus, train or subway stops, biirds, animals, scarbble letters, monopoly properties, streets and avenues in your city, “love ” words (in English and other languages, mountains, authors, wines, fish, Disney characters, trees, varieties of apples, pet’s names, breeds of dogs,
basically anything that is you and goes with the style of your wedding.

By the time we got to that point we just did numbers… the venue had nicely framed numbers to use and it was one less thing to worry about! 🙂
But before that we were thinking of words such as Love, Happiness, Family with the Chinese character (DH is Chinese) or places we’ve traveled together including a photo of us at the location. What about Ski Resorts or the names of favorite runs?

What about names of places that mean a lot to you? Like the place you met, the place your first date was at, where he proposed, etc.

Numbers? lol do you have a wedding theme?

I’m all for table numbers. Unless you can find something that’s actually “you” I’d stick to numbers. I think names complicate things (but if it’s “you” I think it’s cute)

We did cities we’ve lived or visited and loved. Luckily, we had a long list. I just made a little template with a B&W picture of an iconic part of each city, with the name at the bottom, laminated them, and was done! cheapest and easiest DIY.
my camera pic after I made them:
I made sure the table names matched the programs I made for the second ceremony:

Do you have a theme to your wedding??? This could help determine the table numbers.

One thing about table ‘words’ rather than numbers, my friend had things in English and Spanish (her hubby is from Spain) and people were super confused. It was hard for the English-speakers to remember what their table name was. I ended up standing by the seating chart directing all the people to their table (b/c I helped one couple and then got stuck!). I think its a super cute idea, but just think about having someone there to help direct if its a big reception b/c numbers are easy enough to remember and generally go in some sort of order…

No theme so can’t use inspiration from that
carolyn.sp.79 and ladyartichoke
I know why people chose numbers as they are a lot simpler but I have listened to far to many people over the years either at the wedding itself or after, that they were on table 3 and X and Y were on 2 etc. And I can’t be doing with it.
I don’t want anything too twee (if that makes sense). Guess we could do places……
Thanks – I’ll keep thinking

These were ours. They’re a little corny but people loved them lol.
(and on a side note, I told the florist no sunflowers!)
