It can be a bit of on the corny side. I would have probably went with things like landmarks around Michigan like the Painted Rocks, Sleeping Near Dunes, Isle Royal. Michigan native here. As for displaying them I think of using one of those silvery thing that you often see in wedsing photos signs holding up the table sign.

@skyeblu87:  I think you have done a great job!  Many people would pick something obvious like landmarks with their picture, but this is a unique idea and I think many couples are looking for that.

You could use Tolsby frames from Ikea to display the table names. They are double sidded so you can do the cards back to back to be seen from any angle, or you could use one side to display the menu.

Best of all they are 99 cents each.

Tolsby frames can be spray painted the color of your choice.

i think they are nicely done.

We did our favorite places around our city. complete with a 1-2 sentance on why it meant alot to us. ie. T&C first met here and had their first date etc.

That’s pretty cute! When we did our reception, it was sort of Michigan / summer vacation theme’d. So we did classic car postcards for ours. People thought it was really cute.

skyeblu87:  I love that, they’re beautiful 🙂

If you have a table with a lot of single young guys “Robocop” would be an awesome table name…just sayin…they’re building a statue of him in Detroit!

Love these. And you avoid the problem of people pronouncing things wrong all night if they’re not Michigan natives. Nothing worse than hearing — ‘We’re at the ‘mack-in-ac island’ table’ all night 😉

We’re having a (very, very losely) Michigan themed wedding as well.
