with our centerpieces, we are able to just use the plastic things that florist put in the arrangements to hold the little card (you know what I am talking about?) These will NOT be seen, and is going to save us some serious MONEY. Our florist is giving these to us free. :)

Our venue had them. Our rental company also carried them; I think that's what most people do. You could also do picture frames like some of the bees, or IKEA has really cheap unfinished wood mini-easels that would be cute.
craft stores like michaels has them. go to the picture frame aisles, and they sell easels....we bought gold colored plastic ones that worked really well and were cheap.
I made mine by tying 6 corks together and putting ribbon around them.

We bought ours at a restaurant supply store and will most likely be selling after the wedding. Have you tried posting a wanted ad in the classified section of weddingbee or just scoping out the postings for items being sold there? I'm sure there may be a few brides selling some stuff post wedding...
If you're looking for easels, also try Nordstrom Rack. At least in SF, they had some in their home section for under $2.
Not sure if you have them in your area, but a store like Smart & Final may also carry the stanchion type holders relatively cheaply (the little stands that have a holder at the top to slip a sign into).

Where'd you get your table number holders? I can't think of a store that would sell them.
