This is probably a silly question and may or may not make sense, but here goes…
For those who had/are having a sweetheart table, do you consider your table to be Table 1 for seating chart purposes, or are you just designating it as your sweetheart table and numbering all the guest tables?
The reason I ask is because I recently did all my table numbers. I’m not sure how many tables we’ll have yet, but I figured it was enough to do 1 – 10 and I made one that says Mr & Mrs for our sweetheart table – but I don’t know if that’s correct, or if we should be Table 1. 🙂

@iheartnerds: I think what you have done is going to be perfect!

Whenever I have been to a wedding with a sweetheart table it has never had a table number on it. The whole number thing is just to help the guests know where to be seated, and they obviously wont be at the sweetheart table, so I think what you did is absolutely perfect.

As long as people know where to go, why would it matter?

I guess I was mostly concerned about confusing my venue. I assume they’ll want a copy of the seating chart to know how to set things up?

We are doing a sweetheart and not having a number on it. I’m thinking about doing the Mr & Mrs sign too. Our table numbers are starting at #2 though and it’s pretty implied that our table is #1 without being labeled as so….
I feel as if people find where they need to go and are fed, it’s very minor. so no worries!
