That guestbook pic looks SOO cute I'm thinking I might do it!
I also like the idea of a guest quilt, or a guest photobooth.
we're using photos of different locations instead of numbers for our tables. we thought it would be fun to have people try to figure out where the photos were taken. we have a small reception so we think it would ensure people meet others they don't already know. (an ice breaker of sorts!)
rather than a guest book, guests will be signing on pages from the scrap book that we'll ultimately use as our wedding album.
hope that helps!
I am going to order from guestbookstore.com. I love scrapbooking and I had every intention of making my own book, but with what they offer and the prices, I will gladly spend that time elsewhere in my planning :)
For our table numbers, we put different music quotes about love on the bottom to personalize them a bit. We used a lot of musicians that we really like to make it more personal.
For our guest book, I made little cards that guests can use to leave a wish, some wisdom, etc. I took white cardstock and attached it to different black&white paper using silver brads, they look really cute!
Good luck!
@cinemaparadiso: That is seriously the cutest guest book I have ever seen! Do you have any more pictures OR directions for making it? Thanks for sharing!
For our table numbers we used vintage style postcards in frames... and we used a National Parks photo book as our guest book.

We recently went on a trip to NYC and will be making a blurb photo book to use as a guest book.
I'm sorry, I had no idea my message posted three times. I'm not sure why that happened!
We're thinking about having a photo book made (from like Walgreens or Walmart) of photos from the start of our relationship through to engagement photos, leaving tons of room in the margins for people to sign and leave notes.
I saw at a wedding once, where they had the guest book attendant use a poloroid camera to take pics of the guests and then the guests signed the pictures. I think they p ut them in the scrap book later. I've always that was cute and fun.
@cynthia
Sorry, I don't! I actually got that picture somewhere from a blog... but I think it's martha. I think you just buy the little business card envelopes in multi colors and glue on scrapbook pages though.. the little cards are just business card size and they make those that you could print yourself (I believe it's an Avery package)!
Good luck! I change my mind every day about guestbooks...sigh.
I love Med0404's suggestion!
These guestbook look great. But I'm not totally sold on the design so I'll try and do my own. Maybe I can show you what it looks like when my templates are done.
I'd also like to find out if there would be a way of binding the whole think like a real book rather than using a binder. I think it looks a little cheap.
As per my table numbers... I'm not quite sure. I'm using lots of polka dots (purple and yellow) but I haven't found a way of incorporating those in our table numbers. The place cards will be somewhat similar to the typical 'tent' format that we see except that the front will be round and the back will be round with the bottom part cut horizontally to help it stay straight. The purple and yellow colors will be used to identify which main course each guest chose.
Looking forward to hearing other ideas!
We're going to do a scrapbook/coffee table book for our guest book -- it'll have pictures of my fiance and me in it, and we'll provide Sharpies for our guests to write messages of love in the margins.
We're not doing table numbers...but I really like the idea of doing something other than "numbers", and that way you can use pictures of that place as a background for your text. And on the back you can always have a little note saying why that place is special for you.
Also, something that we're doing that some people use for a guestbook is having guests write wishes for the couple on river rocks, and then throwing them into a "wishing fountain".
Paper Source sells those baby envelopes in lots of different colors, if you like that guest book idea:

They also sell business cards that fit into those envelopes:

You could get some cool stamps to personalize the cards, too.
I just had a great idea for pictures for table numbers, I'm googling wedding pictures from year of the table (i.e.- table 1= 1901, table 2= 1902, ect.) idk if I'll use it, but it's an idea :]

hello !!
I am looking for some creative ways to make our table numbers look interesting...any thoughts or ideas on this? I thought about taking pictures of these purple and red flowers (colors are purple and red) and cutting numbers out of them...just worried the end result wont look polished.
Same thing with the guestbook. I know there are alternatives out there I am sure they are on other posts so even if you could redirect me I would appreciate it oh-so-much!
thanks!!
