You know, that's what I was thinking of doing! It's a fab idea!! 
We aren't using photos of us, but we are using famous people from the 1920's (that's our theme).
I think as long as the name is visably marked, people will be able to find their tables.
LOVE....maybe because we're doing sort of the same thing, but with National Parks.
We found vintage (looking) National Park postcards that will serve as the escort card and table marker. People will find the park that matches their postcard and we'll have included a little factoid about the park and our time spent there. We're also using this as our favor by telling our guests that a donation to the NPS has been made in their honor.
I always like to learn more about the people I know, so I think your guests willl really like the idea.
I love the idea of using something personal for your table numbering.
Great idea. We are getting married on Halloween and the tables will be named after Halloween creatures (vampire, frankenstein, mummy, werewolf, etc.)
Aww Halloween! Thats soo great!! that must be TONS of fun planning for! I would love to see some pictures after the wedding!
A friend of ours did this at their wedding. It was super cute!!
It IS tons of fun--there have been so many ideas running around in my head since we set the date last summer. I just wish it would get here already so I could stop thinking about it non-stop!!!
It's a good idea. I am doing booklets for notes and advice a la Miss Sundae
LatteLove! Thats a really cute idea! I've never heard of that at a wedding, I've seen something similar at Bridal showers though!

So we are playing around with the idea of identifing the tables by where we have traveled. We would put a black and white picture of us at the place and a description of the trip and a memory from it. The title of the table would be the place we went. Like or Don't like? What are you doing
