Well, if worse comes to worst, you could always use letters instead of numbers! We're naming all of our tables after different philosophers!

MissDane: The Anthropologie letters inspired my table numbers too! Anthropologie should sell them in number form. I am not very DIY and didn't have anyone to make them for me so I turned to Etsy. I thought I'd share the link in case anyone else is having trouble finding them. The seller was bluemountain craft. The only down side is that he does not paint them if you want them painted.

i love these letter stands from anthropologie, unfortunately they dont make them with numbers.
soooo.....easy-peasy
numbers- Lowes or Home Depot
2x4 piece of wood cut to about 8", stained to whatever color you want
dowel rod also stained to match, cut to whatever height you want
and another piece of 2x4 for the base
not sure the exact way to assemble (that is what i'm leaving it up to daddy :) ) but shouldnt be too hard!
