could you alternate a colored square like this? (terribly drawn in paint)
Table runners are definitely a decor option for round tables. It's a great way to work in color (and even fun and romantic patterns!), and I've seen it done quite often. Here are some photos for inspiration...
I am having the same debate- I am thinking of either table runners or having a square of fabric (3'x3') in the middle of 10' tables to add color. Our venue is pretty but really white so I want to add something other than centerpieces to prevent the washed out look.
Thanks so much everyone! I love the look of the colored overlay too -- thanks.

Hi hive!
Is it weird to have table runners for round tables? Do people do this?
We're having round tables of 10, and our tableclothes are white with pale gray napkins. Our wedding colors are blush pink, silver, and a pale green color -- floral centerpieces will be pink and green in galvanized tin buckets. I am a little worried about our tables looking a little too washed out, so I was thinking of doing a pale blush pink "runner" for the table, but our tables are round. I don't think I've ever seen this before, so I thought I'd ask the hive. If table runners are no good, do you have any other suggestions for adding some color to the tables?
Thanks so much!
