Im having the worst time deciding on table setting colors. My colors are purple and smokey teal blue. I am using gold accents. I added a pic of my bridesmaids dresses and shoes. Our reception site is a beautiful castle tavern and I dont want to take away from the beauty of this unique room with a loud table setting. Our centerpieces will be lanterns mixed with flowers in our colors and peacock feathers and I was planning on leaving the table cloths and overlays white. I am planning on using gold chargers with the menues placed on top. My problem is trying to decide on chair sash and napkin colors. Any suggestions???

jprill: I think I would leave out the chair sashes for a cleaner look, then pick out either purple or teal napkins to give the tables a pop of color.

I recommend a champagne, beige or other earth tone that will complement or play up a tone in the stone walls. I’ve been reading a ton of bridal mags (as I’m sure you have!) and recommendations and one that comes to mind now is to work WITH the venue.

I’d skip the chair sashes too.
I liked esaints2 idea of champagne…goes with the gold

Ya I think i;d leave the majority linens in neutral colouors – ivory/white/champagne and bring your colour scheme in with the centerpeice, maybe a runner, and the napkins. I would only pick one colour for hte napkins – maybe the purple and then do your paper products in the purple/teel and gold.
