Either sounds really cute! Beneath each name of the ride/couple you could put a brief explanation of why you picked that theme - "Mr. and Miss MelissaB met while working at Disneyland..."
I think that would be cute to do either! Disneyland is a special memory for the two of you and the whole event is all about you....so, do what you want!
I voted rides! We're getting married in the mountains too and our tables are named after Dharma stations on LOST! (FI & I are HUGE fans - obviously! LOL) Do whatever you like, but I think the rides are more unique than couple names! :)
I vote to name them after the rides. It might be weird to be at a wedding where the tables were named after couples that weren't the wedding couple (even if they were just fictional couples!). =) I do love the idea of the ride names, though! You could do some pretty cool things with that -- have pictures of ride in the holder for the table "number" along with the name of the ride (or a miniature model as the centrepiece!).
Definitely not too silly! =) I agree with amysue that you may want to include a brief explanation -- perhaps on the back of the table number card, or on your seating chart?
I think either is cute. But I voted for couples because it's a wedding. You know romance and love. As long as you can come up with enough couples.
But rides work well too. Especially, if you have story for the rides. ___ was your first ride together. ____ was the ride he first held your hand.
Thanks everyone! We're going to go with rides (even though I REALLY REALLY want the couples). I just couldn't think of 21 different Disney couples, even finding that many rides was kind of difficult.
Man, I need to stop voting on polls before reading the posts! I voted just table numbers but then read your post. I say rides!!! Couples could get a little cliche and cutesy but the rides could be fantastic!
I just saw a post here http://greenweddingshoes.blogspot.com/2009/06/art-of-writing-by-hand.html that shows some beautiful and simple cards. I don't know if its your style but I think doing each of the rides in a simple pen and ink drawing could be SUPER amazing. Whoa... I think I may have just came up with an idea for our table numbers.
The photo is too big to post but if you go o that blog post and scroll down, you'll see what I'm talking about!
Wait. Wrong you are, MisMelissaB.

23 couples listed. I'm not a fan of a few suggestions, but you can add these to the list.
Mr. & Mrs. Incredible
Lightning McQueen -Sally
That should cover it, if you really want to go with couples.
I loved the rides idea, I want to be seated at your wedding

We're having an outdoor wedding in the mountains (just a little bit of info)
FI and I met while working at Disneyland so it has always had a special place in our hearts. Would it be silly to have tables named after the rides at the park? Do you think it might be better to name the tables after different Disney couples? Or should we just number them?
