Sounds like a sorority mixer we had once. If only I had the pics on this computer! :p
The pic on the right is a shot from ~1986, it's Scott and Charlene from Neighbours! :) God bless that mullet
A local radio station did an event at a club downtown like that last year...I'm thinking it was called Bad Bridesmaids' Ball...or something like that. The pics from it looked awesome!
ha ha i just googled bad wedding hair. lol
you would also need a really bad wedding band. like when adam sandler is terrible in the wedding singer.
Google has a veritable treasure trove of fabulously bad wedding shots. Big fan.
we've talked about doing this for our rehearsal :) and I totally think the pictures would be PRICELESS!
hahah man o man thats intense. I wish i had the nerve to do it lol I would require 80's attire, leg warmers and hair crippers all the way
oh man, that's pretty funny..my co-worker brought in her wedding album (she got married in the early 90's) and she had the big hair/wave goin on, and her bridesmaid dresses were hot pink with big bows, hairstyle was big and wave in the front..it was soooo awesome..heheh
HAHAHA! This post could have been the inspiration for our Halloween costumes. Fake tats, teal bra, camo and tulle crazy veil headband, tux t shirt, mullet wig, awful make up and fake teeth... We were goin for hillbilly bride n groom.. BUT! As you can tell by the pic on the mantel I swear we are normal folks. LOL

I think this is what Heidi Klum and Seal did!!! They did a trailer trash wedding!
THAT PIC IS HILARIOUS Abbee!
NO WAY did Heidi Klum and Seal do that???? I would dieeeeeeee! I bet she made it look good.
@Kjpugs-is it possible for her to make anything look bad?
I totally am thinking of doing this for the rehearsal, now! haha. These are amazing!
OMG heidi klum is now my hero http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1180141/Nice-day-white-trash-wedding-Pregnant-Heidi-Klum-Seal-don-tacky-fancy-dress-renew-vows.html
Eww i didn't know Britney's wedding was like that! Heidi Klum rocks and that is a great idea for a renewal.
The very top couple is the same/very similar as my moms 1986 casablanca lol.

you know you could totally host a party like that... I worked for a family who did that, they had a "white trash" party haha...
you could theme a party, that would be absolutely hilarious!!
I really, really don't want to offend anyone in this thread, but I think making fun of "white trash" is really offensive itself. That is being a "normal couple" for a LOT of people, and while we may not understand or agree with it, it isn't inherently "bad." We all know it's wrong to stereotype based on race or religion; we shouldn't do it against people of different economic classes, either. Sorry, just had to say that there is a difference between that and the humor of dated wedding fashion.
Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone, I didn't mean it like that. that was the terminology my employer used, but it was more like an 80's party.
I am DEFINITELY not upper-class or anything, so I would never poke fun at economic class (yeah, you're looking at unemployed, right here lol). but my employers were upper-class.
I'm really sorry, I didn't mean that. I'm sorry I offended you :(
sept2610 -- I wasn't trying to single you out; I just borrowed your quote because I think everyone would understand what I meant. Thank you for replying. It just bothers me as I study sociology and see how that sort of prejudice is largely ignored.
omg, the pic on the right in OP's post is kylie minguge and jason somebody from an aussie soap opera Neighbours - complete with a over the top rock ballad named "Suddenly" from Rose Tattoo - that brought back memories!
i think the fun thing about having a tacky wedding is you can look back and laugh - although i couldnt go this far

Here's my contribution... hairstyles! Whee!
The sidebun with the switch looks...uh..interesting. Maybe the switch could be in your wedding colors for your BMs ? Ahahahah

haha a wedding like that would be sooo much fun to attend, and the pictures would definately be something you show your grandkids :P
haha i helped my grandma do some 90's wedding and all of theme where peach and teal. So know every time i think of peach or teal or paper wedding bells I want to gag.
GREAT IDEA, LMAO! it should be a blast!
I love 90s fashion, that would be such a fun idea. Some of my cousins were married in the early 90s, so funny to look back at pictures

How fun would this be if you dinn't want to take your wedding too seriously.
you could ask the guests to wear their old bm dresses or get terrible ones at goodwill.
you could have the theme be weddings and have all that stuff from the dollar store everywhere!
add your pics and ideas!
