We are also doing tacos, but we’re having a buffet-style taco bar.

If you want to do the “pass the food” thing, you could have guests order their tacos and then pass around Mexican side dishes like seasoned rice!

@brideatbeach: A taco bar is the best idea i have ever heard!

Passing around the sides is a great idea. Or maybe pass around the “parts” of the taco (tortilla, cheese, etc) and let the guest take what they want to put on thiers.

You could have your normal family style meal and towards then end of your reception have the taco bar when guests are hungry again. I’m not sure what time of day your reception is, but I have heard some venues calling tacos/sliders/fries etc. “midnight munchies.” I do not know if your budget allows extras like this but after dancing, & drinking tacos sound good to me.

We’re having tacos too. We live in So Cal so it was a no-brainer. I suggest doing Spanish rice and beans (refried or regular) since you’re going Mexican. You could also have different salads too. If you don’t want to do any of those just pass around the toppings: limes, onions, cilantro, tomatoes, salsa, etc.
