Sounds like SO MUCH FUN! I think it sounds tasty and whimsical and unusual and absolutely great.
Then again, I'm doing a pig roast for my wedding, so I might not be the best judge!
But seriously...how many boring chicken dishes have you eaten at weddings? Much better to do something fun and personal, especially for your type of reception. Go for it!
taco, taco, taco!
anybody else remember that stupid movie? haha. I think it sounds ridiculously awesome. As long as it's presented nicely, it can come off very chic and go with your casual reception wonderfully!
Especially since you're having someone man the bar, I think it's going to be quite awesome!
I would totally have fun at this wedding - except that you aren't having any vegetarian tacos! I assume you don't have any vegetarians coming or you would have thrown in a bean taco...
I really want a taco/mexican station at our wedding - I think the closest we will get is some kind of fajita station, but I'll take it.
Your wedding sounds fun!
I'm a vegetarian too, so I ditto the commenter above me, although I also wouldn't hesitate at filling that bad boy up with cheese, salsa, and all the fixins, in the absence of beans. Sounds awesome and I'm totally jealous!!
i'm so excited that you're all excited! ya, no vegetarians so we're okay with all meat. i'm so glad this is decided, yeah! now my job is to figure out how to present this and make it chic. any ideas?
FH and I keep saying we'd love to have our favorite mexican restaurant cater our wedding if we could. Three cheers for tacos! :D
I think that's great. We have hired tacos for a quincianera, for baby showers and for partys but you have brought it to a different level. Mmmm Tacos!! I love it!! It sounds super fun. You should hire a mariachi and I am so there.
I love the idea of tacos! It sounds so yummy and perfectly fits with the theme. What a great idea.
YUMMY! Tacos are so delicious and the fact that each person can add the toppings of their choice is great. That is an awesome idea!
OK, now I am hungry. Too bad my banana isn't as appetizing as a Taco would be right now ![]()
Every time i see this post pop up I go "mmmmmm tacos" even though it's really early. You should have margaritas now, LoL. Ok i know that's a lot of work. But YUM!
we are doing tacos & fajitas as well!!
I am trying to figure out how much to order of each. I am debating how to ask on the RSVP cards
__# Pollo (chicken) faijitas
__# Al Pastor (pork) Taco
or just
__# Chicken
__# Pork

so i think we finally decided on a menu for our casual backyard reception: taco station ~ our very own personal taco guy making yummy carnitas, carne asada and pollo tacos to order. ceviche ~ served in plastic martini glasses. fruit salad ~ island style. mochi cupcakes ~ served in pretty cupcake wrappers.
what do you think? tacos a fau paux, or a fau yes? we're having a reception in my in-law's back yard for 60 people. mostly family memebers, super casual...
