So many options!
#3 stands out the most to me and is clear to read.
I voted for the 1st and 3rd one. They are definitely retro and I'm sure will look great with whatever wording you choose. This is the card that's going on our cupcake in a jar favors. I don't know how to get away with doing an edible favor without using the word "sweet". lol
@PinkPinstripes: That doesn't even put a dent in the fonts I have, lol! Rosewood is my favorite, too.
@Cheeks11: True, true. I wonder if that phrase would be too long for a little tag, though I do like it!
@beekiss2: That's actually my next-favorite...I have a bit of a thing for typewriter fonts, too.
Oh I hate to say this, but these all look slightly off to me, like something's not quite right with the spacing or the characters are a little sloppy...If I had to choose, I think #5 is okay.
Have you tried any of these (google them and write "free"): Romeral, Chunk, Little Lord Fonterey, Geotica (see last link), or Fling? And this guy has some fun ones: http://www.smeltery.net/fonts/ and the HP Lovecraft society offers fonts that have a vintage feel (but not really your rockabilly vintage, but if you like fonts: http://www.cthulhulives.org/toybox/PROPDOCS/FreeFonts.html) and there's this guy too, who has geotica http://www.josbuivenga.demon.nl/geotica.html
These are all free fonts, last I checked.
Not sure if they're *exactly* what you're looking for, but whatever. You seem like you like fonts anyway.
@JennyW1: I love fonts, so I really appreciate the links! I see what you mean about the spacing--I could probably fix it, to an extent, by typing each character and arranging it separately in, say, MS Paint or Photoshop (if I'm feeling ambitious). I have Little Lord Fontleroy but am not a huge fan of it...I do, however, like Geotica tremendously. :)
I like "How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You"... think it kinda goes along with the whole thank you for coming to our wedding/favor idea...
I love retro-ish fonts too. If I can make a suggestion, your #8 font reminds me of a current personal favorite: http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/urw/murray-hill/
I like #3 the best also...and I love MrsA2be's suggestion of "How Sweet It is to be loved by you". Maybe I'm biased because that was our cake cutting song and one of my favorite songs.
@Sweet Melissa: That one reminds me a lot of a combination between Little Black Dress, Saturday's Girl, and Dyspepsia (which is #8). :)
@Treasure43: I do like that one, though I wonder again if it's too long to fit neatly on a tag.
@bells: It's from dafont.com, if you're interested...I believe the name is Typical Writer. I love typewriter fonts!
A friend is doing the wording I mentioned above on a round tag. "How sweet it is..." along the top edge and "to be loved by you!" on the bottom edge with their logo in the middle. Might not be the look you're aiming for, but just thought I'd mention!
@MrsA2be: Oh, I like that a lot. I think rectangular tags would be easiest for us to manage, but I do like the round tag idea, too.
It's difficult to choose the font, since they are all different kinds (and feeling associated with it). What is your wedding like? Is it rustic, or elegant, or traditional? That would help to narrow it down!
@neontl: Small and vintage-inspired, I guess--we don't have a theme much anymore since we're doing the courthouse thing followed by a small restaurant reception.
your problem is spacing/kerning. you can fix it in word--just highlight the parts that need to be tighter or looser and change the spacing/kerning. It's under Format > Font.

FH and I decided on the cello bags of [whatever] (haven't decided if we're doing jordan almonds or butter mints yet, or some other kind of candy altogether), but now I'm focusing on the tags. We could just do some ribbon to tie them shut, but I love seeing handmade tags--I think it adds something special to the whole package.
I have a couple of fonts in mind for you to vote on, if any, but my biggest problem now is the wording. I really, really don't like the whole "Love is sweet" thing because I think it's a little overdone (though I've seen some fabulous tags and signs with this phrase!). Any suggestions in that area? We could just do a monogram and/or the date, but I'm not really a fan of that, either.
For the record, FH and I love vintage/retro fonts and are trying to stay away from traditional script as much as possible since our printer doesn't seem to like it very much!
