I'm searching for a a ceremony and reception location, price is one of the main concerns since the wedding will mostly all be put on credit cards. I'm open to North or South shore, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Here's a list of places on the south shore that are relatively cheap and regularly host weddings (ceremonies and receptions).  I'm sure another bee will be able to help you with the north shore!

    Round Hill Beach

    Tahoe Paradise Park

The Rockwater/Murphy's Irish Pub (they have a privtae garden for ceremonies, and the restaurant for receptions)

    Timber Cove Best Western

    Sand Harbor

    Zephyr Cove

    Camp Richardson

Hopefully, this will get you started!

I had my wedding at Tahoe Paradise Park. The price was really great and you got the park and the clubhouse all day. The park manager has tables and chairs you can rent, the only draw back is that you have to set everything up yourself. Thankfully we had really great friends that offered to help us out.

Can you put it off a year and save up $5000, Starting a life together in debt will be no fun.

We put ours off 1 year (turned in 4 and 3 kids later) and we are getting married in Feb next year debt free (well wedding debt :( )
