- Wedding: May 2015 - Our church and then at The Garden Room for the reception
And I do mean sweet!
SO and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend by heading to the restaurant where we had our first date. We even sat at the same sweetheart table by the windows that we had before. For dessert, we ordered cupcakes, which is a specialty at the restaurant (they bake their own, and they are fantastic!). Ever since I was little I have loved cupcakes- they are one of my desserts. Sharing cupcakes was one of my favorite memories of our first date, so of course we had to have them again.
I’m not going to fib. I pretty much knew the proposal was coming that day. My SO wasn’t exactly subtle. It’s okay though- I still ended up being a little bit suprised, however. I correctly guessed that the proposal would be coming with the cupcakes, but I was caught off guard by the presentation. Our waiter came out with a beautiful silver cake stand and placed it in front of me. Then he set the plate of cupcakes on top. Written in chocolate writing was this adorable sight (all my SO’s idea, as I found out later):
Then he proposed and gave me my ring! And did I accept? You bet I did.
After dessert, we went down to the local airport and shared a bottle of sparkling cider while we watched the planes take off.
(I know those cups are so fancy, right? I forgot to bring our wine glasses, so Fiance had to improvise. ).
It was a lovely afternoon!
