DH wanted to make me breakfast on saturday morning but I had already had a bowl of cereal.

So on sunday, DH cooked me an amazing breakfast (and beautiful presentation).  Then he went food shopping for the week.  When he came home, he told me he was making me a special dinner. It was delicious.

BurlapnLace:  Yesterday he helped me find a box and blankets to put out for an injured stray kitty that I have been trying to give refuge in our yard…with a hope of being able to bring it inside and get it to a vet (we aren’t sure if it’s feral or just skiddish).  He knows I desperately want to help it and just jumped on board.

BurlapnLace:  Congrats to your SO new job or not!

Friday night after dinner FI looked at me out of the blue and appologized for not being more involved with wedding planning (hes been slacking but not THAT bad) It ment alot knowing he knows I need help and want this to be our wedding not my wedding. And even agreed to come with me to bloomingdales to pick out the wedding gift for his brothers wedding because he know how much I hate that store.

AW… Love all of the sweet men! I could go on all day about mine, because I just adore him. Hehe… However, yesterday evening, I mentioned in passing that I still had a lot to do (grocery shop for the week, cook dinner, clean/detail my car). I told him I was going to work out, and do the rest after. He decided that he was going to do yard work. I finished working out, and… My car was sparkling, groceries were bought AND dinner was on the table.

Sometimes I wish I could put into words how much I really appreciate all that he does.

This is going to sound weird, but the other night it was very cold in my FI’s apartment so I was huddled under a blanket.  I was hungry, but didn’t want to take my arms and hands out from under the blanket, so FI put nutella on crackers for me and then fed me by hand.  It was absolutely ridiculous on my part, but so incredibly sweet of him!<br />

FI is super helpful around the house..everyday. He works 40+ hrs a week and still comes home and does dishes and laundry every night! I’m very lucky to be marrying a domestic man.

My fiance gets our son ready for preschool in the morning, takes him to school, picks him up, and volunteers to pick up my 13-year old daughter when I have to work late.  He also goes to Costco and stocks up my pantry, including a case of wine and steaks as a nice surprise.  He does this frequently (which probably is very telling about how much wine I consume–oops)!  🙂  He’s a great listener, partner, and I always feel safe when he’s around.  Yeah, he’s pretty awesome.

I have another thing to brag about: FI is very close to getting his second paper published! He works so hard inlab, and it’s wonderful when all of that hard work pays off!

My Fiance and I are doing the long distance relationship for now until I can get my visa to go down to the US so we can get married.  We try to see each other every month at least, but he has been coming up to see me every 2nd weekend, which is a 6 and half hour drive each way.   Him taking the time to come see me every chance he gets really makes me feel special.

BurlapnLace:  Well FI just had an interview for a sou chief program at his work and it went well!! Still waiting to hear back but if he does get in means more cash and stability career wise. Regardless I’m so porud of him and all the things he pushes to do. FI has been on a high also because a loan he was in for the last 4ish years finally finished last week. He’s the sweetest guy too the last time I was sick he still came over (not living together til marriage and only get to see each other usually once a week) and brought me medication, made me tea and cuddled with me rubbing my back as I was half sleep and didn’t care that that’s how we spent the whole day.

BurlapnLace:   When I had back surgery he took 2wks off from his job to take care of me. I was in the hospital for a week and stayed with me, never leaving me for one minute…slept in a fold-away bed next to me, until I was released from the hospital. He’s selfless!!!!!  I just feel so blessed to be spending my life with him. He’s my best friend. He’s a great provider and leader! We take such great care of each other! I love me some him!
