@missashley884:  I never take mine off, but I know from other posts I’m in the minority.

I only wear mine when I leave the house.  If im at home its not on.  Your mom is right that diamonds are quite strong, the metal the stone is set in on the other hand, is not as strong.

@MASPA:  I’m the same way. I only wear mine when I’m out and take it off when I’m home. I thought I was strange for doing this, but I feel like it will keep the ring looking new longer. Plus, I have a solitaire and don’t like getting it caught on things when I’m doing housework.

I never take mine off! The only reason I would take it off is if I was going to do something messy

I take mine off all the time!

I work in an environment where it isn’t always safe to wear rings. I wear it if I know i’ll be doing paper work, but don’t wear it when I’ll be doing testing. If I do wear it – I almost always take it off as soon as I get home.

Sometimes I forget to wear it out (like if we go for dinner or to parties with friends).

my lovely engagement ring has lots of prongs to it and gets caught easily in my bedding, so when i sleep it gets taken off and placed in a heart shaped container so i dont set loose a prong by accident. I also dont wear it in the shower because i hate conditioner getting into it. 🙂

I only take it off if I am making something that involves sticking my hands into raw meat or kneading bread.

I wear it all ther times and I just clean it with a soft brustle toothbrush and some soap once a week,

I only ever take them off to wash them or to put on hand lotion!  I think a lot of people do take theirs off, though, so you’re not alone.

Yeah, I take it off often while I’m at home.  I don’t shower or cook in it.  Sometimes I take it off to sleep.  I always wear it outside of the house though!

I take mine off for sleeping, showering, cleaning, ect.  Also if I’m just chillling at home.  I love my e-ring, but I normally don’t wear a lot of jewelry and find it more comfortable to not have it on when I’m just lying around at home.

I take mine off to sleep, shower and do anything messy. I also have a few CZ standins that I am switching it out with if the mood strikes me.

I wear mine 90% of the time… I only take it off to shower (we have hard water and I don’t want it building up and clouding my ring… if that is even possible lol) or if I’m cooking something messy that I have to use my hands for like ground meat or bread/dough.
