Omg can't believe it finally happened!

Over the weekend, my SO suggested we use the giftcard I got from my boss to go down on the Plaza in KC for dinner on monday night. I was keyed up all day at work monday trying to not overthink this dinner thing and was trying really hard not to get my hopes up. After work I met up with him at our apartment, we changed into some nicer going out clothes and left for the restaurant. The dinner was fantastic, we had wonderful service and the food was delicious like usual. Afterwards, we walked out of the restaurant and my SO pointed out the horse carriages parked on the other side of the street. He said "Look honey, remember how we went on a ride in one of those for our one year anniversary? Want to go ride in one again just for fun?" I of course said yes even though it was like 30 degrees out! The Plaza was still lit up with all of the different colors of christmas lights, and there were blankets in the carriage for snuggling under, and everything felt so right. After a few minutes of small talk with the driver and sight seeing as we rode, my SO said quietly in my ear, "Honey, I have a question for you. Will you marry me?" I think I kind of nodded and whispered yes and he pulled a white box from his coat and opened it up for me to see the beautiful wedding set inside.  Of course I immediately started crying and saying "oh my god" over and over, and it took several minutes for me to calm down enough to ask him to put the ring on my finger!

I'm soooo happy with the ring, apparently he went between two different stores and put deposits on a couple different rings before making up his mind. He said he saw the one he gave me on the store website and asked them to order one in for him to see and he said that once he saw it, he knew it was the one.  So, without further ado, here is my lovely white gold E-Ring w/ a .50 carat center diamond!
