From waiting to married in 48 hours... It was planned-ish, but I still can't believe it happened!

The details: My SO came home from for a short visit from the military with two beautiful rings that we had designed by an artist I found on etsy out of Canada. I knew he had the rings and waited an incredibly patient 48 hours before I started begging to see them. He didn't let me see them but instead took me for a walk and a picnic down to the beach where we met (If you notice my location I am in Alaska, all beaches are frozen solid now, but it was romantic none the less) we watched the sun rise at 10:00am and he asked me to marry him, I don't really remember the exact wording he used becuase I was so busy staring at the ring! and I have been staring at it constantly ever since.

It is completely perfect for what I wanted. We selected the diamond to look like ice, it is rose cut with feather inclusions in it, and the sapphires on the band are to represent the first time he proposed to me (jokingly on the same beach) with a piece of blue beach glass.

Two days later (being friday) we went down to the county clerks office and did the legal paper work and are now married. We had to be married legally for a whole slu of finiky military reasons

I couldn't be happier, we are still planning the 'wedding' which will actually be a small vow renewal with friends and family next summer, but I am thrilled to know that I am his wife!

 and the ring... though many of you have seen it already.

As a disclaimer I thought I had typed this all out, walked away from my computer and then it dissapeared, so if it has been submitted twice I appologize.

@batwoman:  We worked with Kate Szabone she has some beautiful things in her shop and was a pleasure to work with. I ended up telling her what I was looking for and showed her some pictures of what I liked and she created it to be absolutely perfect.

@love108:  the sapphires were are suprise from DH (so strange to say that, ive been using SO for so long and totally mised FI!) I love them. He also went against the closed band becuase there were no obvious places to put them lol, he never told me why he was so against the closed band, but I get it now.

@MalbecMe:  I am wearing the ring on my left but someone (cough cough DH) is guilty of playing with the settings on my camera and I can't upload pictures without them all being reversed, I also don't know how to change it back and I am typically to lazy to put them in photo shop to flip them unless there are words involved.
