After almost a year on the list, Mr. LP finally proposed and I am one happy bee!!!
I never thought this day would come. He popped the question on Saturday (the 17th) while we were at home, and it was the most precious thing I have ever witnessed, and of course I cried like a child! He took me out to a nice dinner to celebrate afterwards.
I honestly didn’t see it coming, and I’m so happy it was a complete surprise! I knew it was coming soon, but I assumed it would be another few months.
And a bit of advice to waiting bees: when your SO does propose, enjoy that moment and draw it out as long as you can! I was so shocked and happy that it went by in a flash, and I barely remember what he said when he was on one knee! Its hard to imagine what that moment will be like but let me tell you, it’s insane. I was shaking and my heart was pounding, so I had a hard time focusing! Just remember to focus so you can remember all the sweet things your wonderful SO says. And take the time to really get a good look at him when he’s on one knee! I made Mr. LP get back on one knee when we got home after dinner so I could remember what it was like haha!
And most of all, be patient! It WILL happen, and you will be so happy when it does, all the waiting frustration will vanish in an instant! Enjoy the anticipation while you can!!

Yay! Congrats 🙂
I too was completely unable to focus on the moment. I fumbled through it, and instead of saying YES!!, I said, “Am I supposed to say yes now?”…… I have no idea what was going on in my brain.

@LilliePad: Congratulations!!! That actually sounds a lot like my response, haha. I was so SHOCKED. It’s like you know it’s coming, but it still catches you off-guard!

Congratulations! I worry about not remembering what he says lol That’s what makes a proposal so special and I care more about what he says and how he says it than anything he gives me. That’s why I’m secretely hoping it’s going to be filmed so I can rewatch it lol

@LilliePad: if I want a heart pounding experience I’ll go bungee jumping….real advice for the ladies, stop worrying about things you can’t control and live life now, have all the fun you can, expand your career and have many other interests. An engagement proposal should be the least of anyone’s concerns.
