We don’t set limits for each other. However we both always spend over 500 dollars for each others xmas gifts or birthday.  I always like to get him something nice as well as I rarely buy him anything during the year.

I usually spend somewhere around 200 but this year is closer to $300. Which seems like a lot to me! lol.

SO asked me yesterday if we could set limits this year and suggested $150. Guess he won’t be getting my ring with that…

I think I hit the $500 mark this year. It was a combination of “I found a gift he deserves cause he’s awesome but it happens to be expensive” and “my ring is costing more than I ever anticipated and I can’t believe he bought it, I really owe him a big one.” Mostly the former though. Wink

well my SO’s birthday, christmas, and our anniversary are in the span of a week. and I don’t like doubling up gifts for him (because he got that a lot when he was younger, he deserves a birthday!)

this year I’m going around $300. but I’m a grad student so that’s a lot to me.

We’re 20 and still in school so we set a limit of $150-$200 each year (: The most I ever spent on him was $400 dollars and that was during our senior year of highschool ๐Ÿ˜‰ I used all my babysitting money on him haha.

This year it’s £50 ($78) which is a lot for us! It used to be around £20, then £30, then up to £40 and this year a big £50. Eeek! It sounds so extravagant and I’m not sure we should really be splashing out that much. But hey, it’s nothing compared to what most of you are spending.

We are both in school and we are going on a cruise in March so we decided $60ish was fine! Although I told him if he accidentally went over that it would be ok with me!!!

Last year we spent like over $1000 on each other. This year we were trying to keep the cost down, but my SO told me he already broke that rule. I would spend more money on him now, but he wants to go to the Sugar Bowl in early January and that is going to eat up a large chunk of Christmas money. So… idk what to do…

Our anniversary is on Christmas but we do separate gifts. So this year I’m spending about $200 on “Christmas” but then another almost $100 on “anniversary.” Last year I went a little crazy and spent more like $600 total for the two occasions.

We are both still in school (paying our own way!) I tell him to never get me anything (although he doesn’t listen!) And he probably spents around $100…i LOVE to buy gifts (For anyone!) and usually spend around $150-200 BUT my mom and I are HUGE bargin shoppers and I get great deals! This year i spent $120 but got almost $2000 of stuff!!!!! I also spoil the heck out of him all year round ๐Ÿ™‚ I can never make it out of a shopping trip without something for him! ๐Ÿ™‚ Once we are out of school/on two feet I can totally see my self getting upwards of $500 hahaha

I am spending $69.99 on sleep number pillow for him. Granted he bought something on black friday for $100 for himself, and we share our money. But, this is the most we have ever spent on each other. I can’t imagine spending $500 on each other because we don’t make a lot of money… and I’m a little frugal Wink
