Our venue just informed us that WE will need to clean up and take out the garbage the evening of our wedding. Clean up… I understand. But considering they want us to carry loads and loads of garbage bags out around the entire street, back behind the building, and across the dark, gross alley to the nearest dumpster at midnight, I think this is RIDICULOUS!
I am paying what seems to be way too much money for this venue and I think that they should at the very least take out the trash!
Anyone have a similar problem?

They told you two weeks in advane?! Aren’t you paying a clean up fee?
Clean up was included in our venue….and that meant trash! But some venues–I could see how we could’ve been stuck with that. Some venues are not set up for full service

We were told that we would either have to clean up after ourselves or pay them $50 to do it. Since we are having a day-of coordinater, she’s cleaning up for no additional charge.

We have to put the trash in trashcans that they will provide but the venue is handling the rest of the clean-up at no extra charge.

Eek! Is there an option to pay a little extra $ for them to clean up?

Thats odd. Are you having an off site caterer do the food? Check with them, usually it would the caterer and/or venues responsiblity to clean and take out the trash.
