Since FI and I have decided to elope, I’ve made the choice to DIY my bouquet. I’ll likely be getting the flowers from our local grocery store, but the issue is transporting them. We are getting married in Lincoln City (about 2 1/2 hours away) and while it won’t be hot in the car since it’ll be in May, it still means that the flowers will be out of the car from 9am (when we leave for my Hair/MUA’s house) until about 4pm for the ceremony.
Does anyone have any advice?
I have looked into real touch flowers, and they’re just too expensive imo. So I’m back to real flowers, but how do I keep them fresh and make sure that they aren’t wilted?

I tell my botany students to use a cooler with an ice/cool pack (not ice!) to keep flowers fresher longer.

Would they be okay for that long in a cooler for that long? Like one of the big styrofoam coolers? And without them being in water they’d still be fine?

Could you possibly buy them in the city you are getting married in? Or will you not have enough time to put them together? I would suggest the cooler option as well and hope they are ok!

@NikiJimenezPalacio: There won’t be enough time. We’re getting there to check in at 4pm and pretty much getting dressed and going to the beach to get married.
