Taking in a dress 6 inches??

They probably can do it, but it will cost you. My dress was 3 sizes too big on top since I’m very hippy and alterations are $500 dollars on it.  you have to judge if the savings are worth the higher price of alterations

Briar_Jupiterglimmer:  Since the dress is chiffon it might not be as hard as it would have been had it been lace (have to match the patterns closely). However, it will not be as easy as it would be if it were just satin or taffeta. They will have to split the seam on the chiffon and under layer then take in both and make it look like it did when originally made. While it might not be too difficult, they may charge you a pretty penny to do it. May be worth just getting a similar dress that fits you or going with a site like Jasmine’s Bridal who does excellent replicas.

That seems to be about 4 sizes too big.  May not be worth the alterations cost.
